Our daughter took guitar lessons with Dr. Owain Graham and she very much enjoyed the foundational knowledge he shared. She grew so much in her time with MACSA. He was great to work with!
MACSA is an exceptional music school for students of all levels, whether you want to become a performing musician or simply want to play for family and friends. They offer a wide range of skilled instructors and plenty of opportunities to perform. I've been studying piano with Dr. Xiaoke Cheng for over five years and I've experienced remarkable growth in my musicality and piano technique. She challenges me with pieces that I thought were beyond my ability and her attention to detail and focus on artistic expression have made me a stronger musician. I've stayed with her all these years because she continues to push and inspire me. I highly recommend her to anyone serious about improving their playing. My daughters also took lessons at MACSA with a different teacher who was also wonderful and overall our experience has been consistently positive. If you're considering lessons here, definitely give it a try!
A great music school. The teachers are best in town you could potentially find. Their music expertise and dedication in teaching music reflect in the performances of the MACSA students and their accomplishments locally, at state level, nationally and internationally.
Exceptional instruction and dedicated instructors. Our daughter has been studying voice under Lisa for over a year now, and has grown so much with her practical, caring, tailored approach. Very grateful for Lisa and MACSA!
I would like to express how grateful we are for the experience our child has had over the past five years at MACSA (Stone Oak). First and foremost, what stands out is the customized approach to my child’s needs. While he did not begin this piano journey of his own accord, MACSA and especially his teacher, Dr. Xiaoke Cheng, have tailored his experience to build not just a remarkable level of technical skill but also to foster a growing love of music. Her ability to balance challenges with expert support has made a real difference, and we have watched our child grow in ways we never expected. Her guidance has had an enduring impact, and we know that the confidence and resilience our child has developed will carry forward well beyond the piano studio. The commitment and care that goes into the work being done here, from smaller recitals to large music festivals and even a Tobin Center performance, the entire staff at MACSA is committed. As parents, we are incredibly grateful for all that MACSA has offered; this experience has been and continues to play a prominent part in our child’s journey.
