Selina has been cutting & coloring my hair for the last 4 years. My hair has never felt healthier and more cared for. Her salon space is so comforting and you’ll always leave feeling so beautiful. It’s such a gift to feel cared for in this way and I highly recommend investing in yourself with a appt with her :)

cannot say enough good things about Selena, the shop owner and my hairstylist. She is an all-around curl professional who is extremely knowledgeable, highly skilled, and genuinely passionate about her work. Beyond hair, she is also very cultured and aware, an advocate who understands people and the world around her, which truly reflects in how she treats her clients. I first saw Selena in 2019. I grew up never being taught how to properly care for my curly hair. I constantly straightened it and didn’t know how to maintain it. She gave me my first curly cut and took the time to educate me on how to properly cleanse, style, and care for my curls. My hair looked amazing, and for the first time, I actually understood it. Life happened, and I didn’t keep up with my curl care. When I returned six years later, I felt embarrassed, but I am so glad I went back. Selena had even more knowledge and walked me through everything step by step. She showed me what my hair should feel like at the scalp to know when it is truly clean and even used a mirror so I could understand my own texture better. Her growth as a curl specialist really shows. As a mom with a lot of kids, straightening my hair always felt like the easiest option. Curls felt overwhelming. Selena created a realistic, everyday, set and go routine and haircut that fits my life and makes me feel confident and beautiful in my natural curls. She is also incredibly personable and makes you feel completely comfortable in her chair. I deal with anxiety, and I did not feel that at all during my appointment. The shop itself is a vibe and even the bathroom is cool and thoughtfully designed, which just adds to the overall experience. Selena is truly a top tier stylist, and I am honestly surprised she has not gone viral yet.

I’ve been going to Native Studio Salon since 2021 and have been with Valerie since she started taking clients. This hair salon always feels like a safe space and is a great reminder of what it means to create a community with integrity, love, and its people at the center. Along with that, Valerie takes such great care of my hair while also teaching me how to care of my hair on the regular. My curls look so good!! In these last four years, I’ve truly trusted the process and have never felt so happy and connected to my hair!!! I tell everybody about this place cause it’s truly that good!!! I was also able to bring in my little cousin for her first curly hair cut and she was in love with the results!
