I started my journey of buying a home with Neighbors Realty, specifically with the agent Becca Barron, in 2018. Since then I’ve bought, sold, and then bought again in October of 2025. Becca supported me through all this, as well as introducing fellow agent Rogelio Berumen, who became part of the team. These two people are more than just agents, they are friends, they are family, and I can’t imagine doing any of this without them! They both have went way above and beyond what I could have ever imagined, and I always knew they were in my corner, making sure I was getting the best possible outcome. So I’m here to say, use Neighbors Realty! You’ll get more than you bargained for, and friends and family for life. Hats off to you Becca and Rogelio! 🩷🩷
Jimi Hendrix is a queen. Over a year ago, the home we were renting was being sold, and we contacted her to explore the idea of buying it, or something else. Jimi took time to listen to our concerns and ideas, came to visit our home, gave us honest recommendations. We wound up walking away from that, and deciding to wait a little longer to consider buying. Almost two years later, when we were truly ready to start looking and contacted her again, it was like no time had passed. She recalled everything we shared before about what we wanted, where we were looking, our budget. She spent more time recalibrating on our wants and needs. When we started viewing homes, she was organized, scheduled our showings very efficiently, was very responsive to our feedback in real time, and adjusted. We saw 8 -10 listings in one weekend, and on Sunday we were writing an offer. Not only that, she was an absolute rock star guiding us through the full process - working with our lender to write a compelling offer, scheduling inspections, getting quotes for repairs, working with the seller's agent all the way through closing. We have heard all the warnings about what to look out for with the home buying process, and ours went off without a hitch largely due to Jimi frickin Hendrix. She will be my first call if we ever come to sell or buy again. Hire her, you wont regret it.
We had an excellent experience buying a home with Lauren. She did a great job of helping us navigate inspections, negotiations, and getting bids from contractors. She really helped us understand the tradeoffs involved in negotiations so that we could make the best decisions according to our budget and risk tolerance. We wound up with an awesome house at a price we were happy with.
Buying a house is one of the most important decisions you can make and even though it can be stressful and challenging, Neighbors Realty does everything it can to make sure you are well taken care of. We had such a good experience while purchasing our first home that we decided to work with Lauren and Brad for a second time! Lauren and Brad are kind, knowledgeable, and patient. Their expertise and experience with the complicated PDX market is priceless, allowing them to help their clients be competitive while also helping them make the best decisions for them under pressure. Standout qualities would be: Prioritizing getting to know their clients and building strong relationships with them, great resources for inspections, repairs, and estimates, prompt responses, a desire to do make positive change with in the real estate industry on equity and social issues, and their incredible depth of knowledge of the industry & Portland's trends We cannot say enough good things about Brad and Lauren and the Neighbors Realty Team!
