Recently, I had a phone conversation with a member of staff regarding any dance space at short notice, if they had any spaces available for free. From start to finish, the lady over the phone was rude, condescending and unhelpful. She was hesitant to offer the space for free which is within her right, however when we asked if there’s any parking, she kept questioning why we would assume there’s parking (even though it was a question) and kept interrupting. We didn’t go ahead with the booking because of her poor attitude. I would avoid making bookings with this company as their staff offer poor service, and are incredibly rude.

I’ve been at the Nicolson School of Dance for adult ballet for more than a year now and have no negatives to say! It’s been incredible to be able to come back to a dance form as an adult and continue to learn at a comfortable pace that still manages to push and develop my skills. The teaching standards have been fantastic and I look forward to lessons each week . It’s also been a great way to make new friends in the city

My daughter is taught my Ms. Nicholson and she is very happy with the standard of teaching. We feel it is very professional and lessons are structured in a way that are enjoyable yet challenging at the same time. Nicholson School of Dance was recommended to us by the Birmingham Royal Ballet and it has definitely lived up to expectations.

I first attended classes with Miss Annette about 4 years ago. She really encouraged me on my ballet journey with her enthusiasm and determination through her teaching. Her classes made me fall in love with ballet. With her support I have now progressed to a vocational school - The Hammond in Chester. I still attend the associate classes as I enjoy them so much. Thank you Miss Annette 😊. Would highly recommend to all.

The Nicholson School of Dance is truly exceptional! Both my son and I attend classes here, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. I take the advanced adult ballet class, which is one of the best in the wider region—there are very few schools that offer advanced adult ballet classes, and this one is outstanding. The teachers, all former professional ballet dancers, are incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and passionate about ballet. My son is in the children’s ballet class with Ms. Anna, and he absolutely loves it! The children’s classes are wonderfully structured, creating a fun and engaging learning environment. It’s amazing to see how much he enjoys ballet each week. The studios are also of a very high standard, with proper changing and waiting areas, making the whole experience comfortable and enjoyable. Even though we don’t live in Birmingham, we happily make the one-hour journey every Saturday because the quality of teaching and the overall experience are unmatched in our area. I can’t recommend the Nicholson School of Dance highly enough—whether for children or adults, this is the place to be if you’re serious about ballet!
