Good food, but it’s the first time I’ve ever seen an omakase chef eat the extra fish on the counter with their hands. Really makes you doubt the hygiene. And it happened twice! Btw the sushi counter sits in a patio facing the street. In all not sure if that’s the typical sushi counter experience for this price point.
Highly recomend!! I went for an anniversary dinner omakase. It was a really good experience! I want to go back for sure next time.
First time in this place. My boyfriend is very particular with the quality of tuna he’s getting from a sushi place, and Nigiri did not disappoint. I love my Salmon sashimi, too! The place is also well situated a few steps to Exchange Place, Waterfront which is a plus. Parking spot is a little hard to find but the food made it worth it.
I wanted to love this place but it was OK for $300 for 2 in JC, can’t say I think it was worth the price. The fish is def very fresh and great quality but the pieces are small and I didn’t love all the combos. The weirdest one was the waygu with egg (which tasted bitter to me) and the best was their spin on ceviche with a mango salsa. Ambience is a bit weird with the crowded counter. Prob should only be seating 6 vs 8. For the price and experience I’d go with Sushi by Bou or DomoDomo
Fantastic omakase experience in Jersey city. You can feel the love and intention that goes into curating each piece. The omakase experience starts at $100 per person for 12 pieces (appetizer and dessert included). There are other omakase experiences nearby that are more affordable, however you can taste the difference in the premium fish and complex flavors offered here. The menu changes weekly depending on the fish. Excited to go back but will be reserving this experience for special occasions.
