Great experience with a very knowledgeable lady. I came away understanding more about wine and I'll use that information next time I'm buying wine.
A great afternoon had at the Northern Wine School with Jack. We went to the Discover Wine Tasting course which was really interesting. We went through 6 wines (3 red and 3 white) went through the differences between them and the best parings. Jack was a great host and made the afternoon fun and interesting.
We had a brilliant night at the Northern Wine School! Jack was an excellent Sommelier, it was very interesting learning about the different ways to identify the flavour and learning how many of the old wives tales are just made up! The cheese pairings were also delicious, thanks so much for a great night we would recommend this experience to anyone!
So our host Jack was great, tbh i would have liked more wine. What we had was OK but it was as a taste only - that said I would recommend as a great activity for a group to kick start a night out. Thanks to Jack I learned lots of useful tips and had a great time.
Went to a wine and cheese tasting in Manchester on Friday night - loved it! Really good evening: John really knows his stuff. All that knowledge makes the wine taste even better. It's not a lecture, John chats through the wine you're about to try and then leaves you to discover and chat about each one. Lovely people on our table too - made for a great night out. Definitely do this!
