We had a great experience before seeing a movie at the Tampa Theatre. Rylie’s service was exceptional—she was incredibly attentive and welcoming. The appetizer sampler and Birria Pizza were both delicious. The guacamole, salsa, and queso tasted very fresh. The Birria Pizza was especially good, though it’s very meat-forward, so you may want to add peppers, lettuce, or other toppings for balance. Overall, the food and service were both excellent.

Had an amazing time there. The service was very professional and on point. Our server brought out a great sampler flight full of flavor. birria taco yummy, birria pozole que rica. Atmosphere was clean and again my Puerto Riquena server did a great job in providing a smile on our faces. Laughter is a must here.

My son had a project for his Spanish class, and I reached out to Nueva Cantina on N. Franklin St. in downtown Tampa for a short interview. The manager, Heather, was helpful from the very beginning. She told me the best day to come in, welcomed us, and was more than willing to record a video answering my son’s questions. Not only did she participate, but her answers were thoughtful, detailed, and truly went above and beyond what was expected. We’ve visited this restaurant before, and my sons always enjoy the food ~ the tacos are consistently fresh and delicious. Today, our server Megan also provided good service. But the reason I’m giving this restaurant 5 stars is because of Heather’s exceptional kindness and willingness to help with something outside her normal responsibilities. We’re extremely grateful she took the time to help my high schooler succeed on his Spanish project. We will definitely be back, and we highly recommend Nueva Cantina for both the yummy food and the people who work there!

Wow, this place was incredible for Halloween! The decorations were super spooky, and everyone was rocking their Halloween costumes, creating an amazing vibe. Big shoutout to Dominic, our awesome waiter—his costume was fantastic, and he was super friendly. Plus, he hooked us up with some free shots, which was amazing! The drinks were fantastic, though I feel the food could use some improvement. One thing to note—there are only two restrooms, so if it's busy, you might have to wait. Still, it was a night to remember!

This place was such a great experience. Our server, Kim, was great! She greeted us with a big smile, was so attentive without ever being overbearing, and made sure we had everything we needed the entire time. The food was outstanding. We ordered the birria pizza, chips and salsa, elote, an asada steak taco, and churros. Every single thing was fresh and full of flavor, but honestly the tacos were hands down the best I’ve had in Tampa. The birria pizza was such a fun twist, the elote was perfectly seasoned, and the churros were the perfect sweet ending. I also tried the nueva margarita, and it was absolute perfection!! It was refreshing, and made just right. What really impressed us is that we came in during the last hour before closing, and you would never know it from the quality of the food or service. Everything came out hot, fresh, and beautifully prepared. It didn’t feel rushed at all
