This was my first time at this salon and first off, the salon itself is beautiful and the atmosphere is fun and welcoming. Caroline did my hair and not only was she great to talk to and super sweet, but she SLAYED my highlights today! I told her what I was looking for because my previous stylist was never able to meet my requests but Caroline did an amazing job!! You can tell she truly loves what she does and is sure to take her time to have the results her clients want. Definitely will be back to see her again.
2 stars because they normally always do great on the color but it took the woman 5 hours to cut my hair and style it. I had shoulder length hair and got it cut to a long pixie. 5 hours, an hour of which she took a razor to it and hacked at the back. It came out completely wrong. Everywhere I've gone, they use a bowl or 2 of color (with my normal long hair..). I was charged for an extra bowl with SHORT hair here. Then she stood there with me while I had to submit my tip. $300 after tip just to need to go somewhere else to get it fixed.
I have been to Ohana twice now and I can’t recommend this place enough. The salon itself is modern and chic, stocked with all the Keune and Aveda products you could ever need. The name Ohana fits this place perfect because the staff is incredibly welcoming and makes you feel like you’re at home. Make sure you book with my stylist, Shelby. She is so talented, kind, and amazing at what she does! She took my brunette to blonde and really matched what I was hoping for and we planned in our consultation. She’s the best but any stylist at this salon would be a great choice!
Michaela did my hair color, gloss, style and conditioning treatment. She was extremely patient to understand my preferences and did better than my expectations. She took before and after picture and she literally transformed my dull hair into something i cannot stop looking at. She worked on me for almost 4 hours. Absolute delight experience as they were not trying to rush it through. The whole time the vibe was great. All of the staff is welcoming. recommend this place-10/10.
My hair is by all means not easy to contend with. Pixie with multiple cow licks and wavy/textured. I was lucky enough to pick Ohana as my hair salon right when I moved to Arizona 5 years ago. Even luckier that I chose Donna as my stylist! Donna in one word is magic. She UNDERSTANDS hair. From the very first haircut, I knew I had found the one. Even when I wanted to experiment with dyeing my hair blond a couple of years ago. She guided me through the process and knew exactly what would work for my hair without it drying out. I 100/10 recommend her. Also very notable mention to the staff. From the front desk to the ladies helping out (washing hair, sweeping up), everyone is so kind and friendly. I truly enjoy coming here. Also also: I’ve been bringing my daughter here since she was 1yo. Donna has always treated her so well and even rescued her bangs from an accidental haircut at school. She loves Ohana!
