I had to check this place out after reading about other peoples' experiences. While I didn't end up finding what I was looking for, I got some great advice and recommendations from the guy working and will absolutely come back for other items.
Old Habits stands out as the best store in the Valley for vintage clothes because it perfectly blends authenticity, quality, and style. Every piece feels carefully curated, with a strong focus on timeless fashion rather than fast trends, making it easy to find items that feel both unique and wearable. The shop consistently offers well-preserved vintage tees, denim, jackets, and statement pieces that you won’t see everywhere else. Beyond the clothing, Old Habits has a welcoming vibe and a clear passion for vintage culture, which makes shopping there feel more like discovering hidden gems than just browsing racks. I discovered Old Habits Vintage just outside Phoenix and it instantly became one of my favourite thrift-boutique stops. The moment I walked in, the place felt curated yet relaxed, there are racks of authentic vintage tees, skate & surf gear, standout outerwear, and unique accessories that you don’t usually find at big chain stores. The staff were friendly and took time to help me dig through the gems without rushing me. I walked out with a rare band tee at a fair price and the vibe of the shop made the whole trip worthwhile. If you’re looking for vintage pieces with personality near the Phoenix/Tempe area, Old Habits is a must-visit.
After seeing people walking in and out of this store all the time, I decided to check it out myself. I was promptly greeted by these three super friendly guys with contagious smiles. Those smiles belonging to Mitchell, Cameron, and Chase. Cameron, the owner, said if I had any questions, to let him know and so off I went checking out their clothes. I grew up in the 80's so seeing their clothes, with brands like Billabong, and listening to 80's/90's music being piped in overhead, reminded me of my high school days. They have a large selection of shirts, shorts, and pants to choose from which is nice, and they are arranged in order of the color wheel making the clothing item you might be looking for easier to find. Sizes are also separated onto different racks which I like because it's a hassle looking for your size when all the sizes are intermingled. That's actually a big peeve of mine, but that's not an issue here at Old Habits. Old Habits is one of those stores where different generations can come in and shop mutual liked interests. That's a bit of a challenge elsewhere anymore. So with the store selling cool clothes that are memorable with great music overhead and friendly people, that's three great reasons to come check out Old Habits. Plus, they are open everyday from 11:00-7:00 and closed on Sundays.
