I went here because family ranted and raved about how awesome this place was that it was 24 seven outdoor dining that this place was the best thing sliced hotdog buns. I ordered almost $70 worth of food and was not impressed at all. The chili taste like it came out of a can the chili dogs because I ordered multiple tasted rubbery and they’re famous chili burger left a lot to be desired the chili cheese fries were OK that’s why I gave them a three I was gonna give them one stars all the way across Because the food was just not that good. Maybe I’m spoiled because I live in Chicago where they actually make good hotdog and good chili when I visit to LA, I’m not always thrilled about the food. So for my order. I got two chili cheese dogs w fries and medium drink; an order of chili cheese fries another chili cheese dog with only chili and cheese then an addition I got two double chili cheeseburgers promo’s which is probably the only good thing that this restaurant offers is a promotional for double chili cheeseburgers. They don’t offer a military discount.

I’ve been coming here for 45 years Tommy’s burger is the original always on point tasty it was worth a 60 mile drive from Riverside. Haven’t been there in years to the original spot. We used to hang out as kids brings back. Good memories then the food is still good. The prices have changed, but it is 2025 now.
I visited the first Original Tommy’s on Beverly & Rampart, and it was such a cool experience. This spot has been around since 1946, serving their famous chili burgers and fries. You can really feel the history when you’re here it’s an LA landmark! The food was delicious, portions were generous, and the service was fast. Definitely worth stopping by if you want to try a true SoCal classic.
I have fond memories about this place, been coming here since around 2004... The chili burgers and fries are delicious and it the history and hype that this venue has is well deserved. Wether you are hungry at night and decide to grab a late night burger or coming with friends this is a must stop when you visit Los Angeles. Service is a little lacking but I understand that its probably the amount of people they get.
