We used painless removals for our recent house move and they were absolutely brilliant. All the team were very friendly, polite professional, & respectful within our home. Recently moved and we were blown away by such an excellent service. We made the inquiry online initially, within a couple of days someone offered to make a visit to our home to ensure they made an accurate evaluation. Jay felt like an old friend whilst discussing options of what would work best for us. It was so wonderful to feel heard. Every step of the way, he was in touch and devised ways to ensure we were happy with the service. On the actual moving , the men worked upon our direction. It was so wonderful to feel supported, helped during such a stressful time. Amazing thanks team.
We moved from Bristol to Southampton and Painless Removals did a really great job. They worked very hard and were careful with our belongings. The moving team were polite, respectful and eager to help. They wouldn't leave until we were happy that our furniture had been reassembled and put in the right place. We were very happy with the move.
I have used Painless Removals before and had a smooth experience, which is why I trusted them again for my move in June 2025. Unfortunately, this time could not have been more different. During the move, my Eight Sleep Pod was damaged. The company admitted in writing that the damage occurred in their care and said they had submitted the matter to their insurers. However, over the following 11+ weeks, I received no claim reference, no proof of submission, and no timeline for resolution — only repeated delays. Despite several formal requests and even a Letter Before Action, no compensation or payment date was provided. The company confirmed the item was damaged, but still refused to pay, citing insurer delays and their terms and conditions. As a repeat customer, this has been a deeply disappointing and frustrating experience. The move has been anything but painless, and the difference from my previous experience with this company could not be starker. Update: The company’s public reply below repeats their position, but to clarify — they have already admitted in writing that the Pod was damaged during the move. Whether declared or self-packed, this does not remove their statutory duty under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to perform services with reasonable care and skill. After months without resolution, I have had to escalate this through the courts.
