We visited this restaurant during a quiet time, and it was the perfect choice. The place was spotless, cozy, and had such a pleasant atmosphere that we could truly relax without any distractions. The service was excellent—the staff was attentive and welcoming throughout our meal. As for the food, the ravioli I ordered were hands down the most delicious ravioli I’ve ever had in my life! We also tried the lasagna, which was equally tasty. We finished with dessert, and it didn't disappoint either—everything was flavorful and well-prepared. It’s definitely not the cheapest place, but it’s worth every penny. We’re already looking forward to coming back because the food and the overall experience were simply fantastic. Highly recommended!

This amazing Italian restaurant is a MUST! The service and food were top notch! I will definitely be going back! I highly recommend this Italian restaurant! Went there with my friend/family on a Monday afternoon. They have valet parking too. The food was GREAT! We had the Burrata (Hand-stuffed, Pugliese mozzarella, Italian mortadella, pistachios, aged balsamic marinated roasted grapes), Prosciutto Di Parma (Nineteen month aged Prosciutto di Parma with sliced melon), and Frittura (fried shrimp and calamari). I had the Lasagna Tipica Di Bologna, which is a traditional lasagna with a meat sauce with green pasta sheets, layered with bechamel. I also tried their mushroom risotto and the oxtail stew on a bed of grits! All were AMAZING! For desert I had a chocolate lava cake with a hazelnut sorbet…FANTASTIC!

I visited this restaurant yesterday for a birthday dinner, and the experience landed in the middle for me. The prices suggest a higher standard, yet the portions felt small. The caprese came with only two pieces of cheese and tomato, though we still enjoyed it. The fried calamari was solid. The beet salad (barbabietole) was not great. It had no seasoning or dressing, which made it surprisingly bland for a dish that usually has more potential. The chicken hen was $29 and had almost no seasoning, which left it flat, although the rapini on the side was delicious. The braised beef short rib had strong flavor, but the portion was small for $39. Gluten free options were limited, and the only pasta substitute offered was corn pasta. It felt like an afterthought. A brown rice pasta or at least one more option would help. They also charge a non-cash fee, which adds to the sense that the value just does not match the price point. The biggest surprise was that they did not acknowledge the birthday with any complimentary dessert or gesture. For a place in this price range, that small detail matters. Overall the visit was fine, but not memorable, and I would not return.

Out of all the Italian restaurants in the Chicagoland area, we decided to chose piccolo sogno for our 5 year anniversary dinner. So happy that we did! Drove down and found parking right away. They also have valet. We were greeted very kindly at the door and were seated even though we were early for our reservation. Ambiance in the restaurant is very chic and nicely set up. Waiter came straight to the table as soon as we sat and introduced himself. We decided no drinks for the night and went straight to the specials. They sounded so good that we ordered 3 things of the specials menu. Started with the pizza with spicy salami and basil. It was so fresh and light. I could have ate another one! Dough was very airy and thin and the sauce was super flavorful. I ordered the lamb shank and my wife went with the truffle ravioli. The lamb shank was pipping hot and fell right off then bone. No need for a knife! Meat was so tender and juicy. So happy I went with that. My wife's ravioli was delicious! One of the best pasta dishes she's had out. Very fresh ravioli with ricotta and truffles. Taste was just amazing. The only downfall was that the bread was not fresh but the oil and balsamic vinegar at the table made up for it. Overall great experience. 100% recommend!

My second time at PS. The restaurant is so pretty, especially their outdoor patio. I felt like I was sitting in beautiful Italy. The staff is so friendly, and kind. Didn't wait long for our food. For food, we tried the Blanco pizza which was amazing, and so tasty. The fried shrimp, and calamari was really yummy, with a great dipping sauce. The vodka cream is not on the menu, but asked for it, and they made us one of the best. Look forward to coming back when in the area. Cirro the owner is also very sweet, and probably.
