To get this out of the way, their customer service receives 5 out of 5. We were disappointed with the cake but they compensated us so I sincerely appreciate that. The cake though is not what I expected for the price point. The decoration was overly simple and almost looked unfinished. The cake per my husband (the birthday boy/man) was crumbly, even the buttercream and was a little too sweet for his taste. I know there is a ton of different cake textures as I do home baking, due to allergies, so this may have been intentional but it came off as they made the cake too far in advance and it began to dry out. Overall, there was nothing that warranted less stars but nothing that made the cake stand out. Again, I appreciate your team working with my brother-in-law to remedy the situation.
Piece of Cake of AZ was recommended to us by our venue and all I can say is WOW. They took my Pinterest dream and made it come to life. The entire staff was so helpful with helping us pick our cupcake flavors (shout out Churro and Blueberry Cobbler for being a fan favorite!!) and made sure we had plenty for all of our guests. The staff was so helpful in coordinating and making the cake for my sister’s gender reveal. They were very very flexible with my pick-up date, in which they even made the cake the next day since my sister couldn’t wait any longer to find out! The cake was exactly what I asked for and more. Also tasted amazing :) would recommend!!
When our wedding venue recommended 3 bakeries we tried a vanilla cupcake from each one to decide that both of us preferred Piece of Cake Desserts. Our wedding cake was so delicious that we only had 2 pieces leftover! It was also so beautiful! It looked exactly how I wanted 💕 If you are a perfectionist then I would recommend this bakery 🤤
I reached out to Piece of Cake to do custom order cupcakes for my son’s 1st birthday along with a smash cake! The decorated cupcakes were fantastic! They went so well with our “One Happy Camper” birthday party theme! The cake is moist and delicious! We will definitely come back for other events!
