From start to finish, this was a great visit. Lauren, PA was thorough, listened and explained everything so well. I felt heard, like I was treated with kindness and efficiency and will come back in the future. Thanks for making my day better when I felt crappy! I really appreciate the whole staff, from the check in, vitals intake & X-ray; everyone was fabulous.
Absolutely wonderful staff. Everyone was caring and compassionate. The first desk staff took me seriously and helped me check in quickly. The nurse, I think his name was Gary, was the light of my day. The PA Lauren was professional and very helpful.
Everyone at this Piedmont is good vibes. I was going in today to be seen for an unknown eye infection. I felt like I was mindfully treated and seen by a professional that knows what they’re doing. The whole team was about their business, and my provider, Lauren, was no exception. I paid $210 since I don’t have insurance and $20 for my antibiotic eye treatment. Great job everybody, my eye already feels better!
What a great experience! The office is very well staffed with knowledgeable and helpful administrators and medical staff. Clean up to date building with the equipment needed. I don't think I have ever encountered a staff so sensitive to my discomfort. I got a full set of x-rays, was diagnosed and received treatment and prescriptions rapidly. This is of course not that important but the combination of the care with the turnaround was that much more impressive. Thanks so much Ponce De Leon Piedmont Urgent care!
Beware! Piedmont Urgent Care engages in abusive billing practices. I went in with step throat symptoms (I’ve had it in the past) and the nurse agreed with me that it was probably strep and administered the test. Results came back positive. I was prescribed antibiotics and left. Then a bill for $697 came! To my surprise I saw that I was being charged for additional tests (flu, Covid, RSV). I never asked for these tests nor was I informed that those tests were being administered. Cost of strep throat test: $60. Cost of the other tests: $230. Cost of the visit itself which lasted only 15 min: $389.77 (almost $400 just for being seen!!!). I’ve already called the billing department twice and this last time I was told it’s essentially my word against the doctor’s. This is an unacceptable example of malpractice and abusive billing practice and I will be filing a federal and state complaint under the No Surprise Bills desk. I never write Google reviews but wanted to alert other potential patients of how Piedmont Urgent Care operates and how abusive their practices are.
