I'm a CrossFitter and I aggressively resisted Pilates for years because I just didn't think it was for me. Turns out breathwork, improving body awareness, focusing on slow, precise, mechanically- correct movement patterns and figuring out how to engage my transverse abs has been the perfect complement to my CrossFit workouts. Everything I work on in a Pilates session translates directly to being stronger and mechanically better in the CrossFit gym, and just at life in general. Ashlee demos each movement and gives verbal and physical cues that help me understand exactly which muscles I should be recruiting for different kinds of movement. She is one of the best coaches I've ever worked with.
Life changing! A young senior, I began Pilates in Nov. of last year and raved about it's benefits. Then, in May, I had a stroke and was told I should have left with a walker. Instead, I walked out on my own two feet. I credit PIlates Center for my success. They built a foundation, especially in my core. Post stroke, needing limited PT, private classes at Pilates Center have been tailored to my needs, and now I am back into regular classes. The small sizes allow the highly trained , kind professionals to continue to monitor my form. You can't go wrong with Pilates Center of Omaha. Go!
I took my first class with Diane last night and it was great. She is super helpful and very knowledgeable about Pilates. I appreciate how the classes are smaller and there is an emphasis on making sure students are mastering the technique to get the most out of the workout. I will definitely be taking more classes here.
After taking Pilates reformer classes at a chain gym for a few years I was tired of very few class options and instructors coming and going, I finally looked around and found Pilates Center of Omaha. I have now been taking classes for 9 months and I love it here. There are numerous class times every day as well as many different instructors. I have enjoyed every class I have taken since day one.
I began Pilates about 4 months ago. I am so fortunate in choosing Pilates Center of Omaha. I knew I was at the right place after completing my first 4 private sessions. Each instructor took the time to really get to know me and that has carried through to all the classes. I couldn't be happier with the instructors - I'm still learning something new every class!
