This is the Holy Grail of classes for those who have osteoporosis! It is the only class I have found in Leeds and is ran by Alison, a lady who also suffers from osteoporosis. Alison has many qualifications to be able to run this class. It is so informative as Alison not only demonstrates the moves to help strengthen our bones but also explains in detail how each exercise benefits us and specifically what areas each exercise strengthens. I would highly recommend this class as I’ve learnt so much in keeping myself safe from fracture during exercising which in turn has raised my confidence.
Since attending Alison’s Pilates classes I have noticed a definite improvement in my strength and flexibility. Her explanation and knowledge of Pilates is helpful and encouraging. Alison is an inspiring and kind teacher whose classes give a great sense of wellbeing.
Hi, I have been seeing Alison for one to one sessions for some time now, and I am very pleased to have increased my strength and flexibility. As I am in my seventies anything that can delay the decline of old age is a bonus. Alison is very encouraging and knowledgeable and I enjoy my sessions , I would recomend her as an instructor . Why not give her a try I never thought Pilates was for me but she is helping me stay fit and mobile. Thank you .
Alison is the real deal. Having had spinal fusion and nerve decompression surgery I'd been to many Pilates classes over the years. I came to Alison's back care class having narrowly avoided more surgery due to a bulging disc above my metal work and was in much pain with limited mobility. Alison taught me more in her small classes than I'd ever learned from Pilates before. She gave careful and tailored exercises with much caring knowledge and humour. I left her back care class to her generic Pilates sessions with much improved mobility, confidence, knowledge and reduced pain. Highly recommended.
