Working with pittsburgh area handyman was straight forward and painless. I had a growing to do list and Dave and Jesse helped me get everything knocked out in a couple of days. Jesse, a plumber, snaked a shower and sink drain and properly vented the sink. Dave helped me hang curtains on a tricky stone wall and repaired some fallen railing on my porch. Both men were very polite, and it was really appreciated that Dave removed his shoes coming in and left the space as clean (maybe cleaner) as when he arrived.
Dave did a fantastic job replacing the rotted floorboards on my 85 year old porch. They were not standard dimensions so he had to source boards and size them properly, and then he installed them. He was very communicative with a prompt reply to my quote inquiry and clear communication about his schedule, delays, etc. He did a great job and I will definitively be getting his help for some of the more challenging projects in my house in the future! Edited to add photos of the raw repair and then painted. Aside from the seam, you can't tell the difference to the original boards!
We hired David Hall to do a multiplicity of repair and construction jobs at our house on the Northside of Pittsburgh. To briefly summarize: He installed two cabinets and new sink/vanity in the bathroom. He built a railing around our front porch and installed a light fixture on the outside wall. He boxed-in ductwork in the living room with dry wall. After electricians had completed a whole-house rewiring, he repaired gaping holes in the plaster of walls and ceilings in every room . He repaired the living room ceiling with sheets of dry wall. He replaced a rusted basement floor drain. He parged the foundational limestone walls in the basement and applied concrete sealer. He replaced the jack post supporting the main beam of the house with a new post on a concrete footer. Every job was finished on time and to our complete satisfaction. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have engaged his services. I recommend him to anyone who is need of quality home improvement at a reasonable price.
Dave from Pittsburgh Area Handyman did a phenomenal job fixing the lights on our deck posts. I reached out to two electricians before I met Dave and they both turned down the job because they didn’t want to climb under our deck to get to the electrical source. Dave not only went under the deck, but he found the source of the problem, ordered the parts needed to fix it (one less thing I had to do) and put everything back together, including the deck panels he removed and everything worked like new! I would highly recommend Dave from Pittsburgh Area Handyman.
Dave did amazing work on our basement remodel. There was not one time that I can recall where we were kept out of the loop with anything with this process. It took him a bit longer to accomplish the remodel because he was working by himself most of the time but, that did not come at any negative cost when it came to attention to detail and professionalism. His communication was impeccable, the craftsmanship of his work is great, and his attention to detail far exceeded our expectations. I will definitely be keeping in touch with him for future projects.
