Polyglottist Language Academy, ubicado en 2161 Shattuck Ave. #234-235, Berkeley, CA 94704, ofrece cursos de italiano en un entorno acogedor con clases pequeñas. Con tamaños de clase de 2 a 6 estudiantes y un fuerte énfasis en la inmersión, las lecciones equilibran gramática, expresión oral y comprensión auditiva en sesiones bien estructuradas y a buen ritmo. Profesores nativos, como Francesca, ofrecen una enseñanza rica y culturalmente atractiva, mientras la propietaria Olga y el personal brindan un apoyo atento cerca de la estación de BART.

When I started to travel to Italy regularly, learning Italian became a must. I chose Polyglottist more or less randomly as they are conveniently located right next to BART in downtown Berkeley. But I am so glad I did. I love the class structure, which allows for full immersion and interaction with the language and an opportunity to meet and bond with the other students. The small class size (2-6 students) is awesome. Classes are well-paced and well-balanced with grammar, speaking and listening. My teacher Francesca is a native Italian speaker, which is culturally enriching and far more informative than any on-line course is able to offer. She is experienced, dedicated and kind, and above all patient!! My first course has just finished, but I will return for many more. The tuition is well worth it.
I started learning Italian with a private tutor, then went to Polyglottist to continue. All the teachers are great, and Olga (the owner) was always so attentive. I really got a great base there and now I read novels in Italian, listen to podcasts , and travel in Italy with complete ability to carry on a conversation.
I have been "taking" Italian at the Polyglottist for several years now - am I fluent yet? No; but pian piano, as they say in Italian ("little by little"), I'm getting better. It's a joy to be able to speak another language, and the Polyglottist Academy offers a (relatively) painless way to start and continue the process.. pian piano. I very highly recommend it to you.
