Follow up: I’ve been coming here ever since I wrote this review 5 months ago. Every time it’s been the same wonderful experience. Such kind, calming energy. Today was our first nail trim for our new 7 month old pup as well as our other dog, and it could not have gone smoother. Thank you again so much and I wont go anywhere else! Just had our first experience with Portland City Pet Groomers (dog nail trim) and wow, what an amazing experience. Our dog has really struggled with fear and anxiety around nail trimming. Everything from shaking, pooping her little pants, and one horrible experience that lead to nipping the person trying to cut her nails. I read one other review that mentioned how good Lisa was with anxious dogs getting their nails trimmed so I figured we would give it a shot. My expectations were far surpassed and this is the only place I’ll go from now on. Lisa was kind, gentle, patient, and professional. The fact that it was one on one with no other animals or chaos was also so helpful. Honestly from this experience, I feel like you would have never known our dog has struggled so greatly in the past. Can’t thank Lisa and Portland City Pet Groomers enough.

I actually just left and am just so pleased with our experience! I have a senior girl who is getting harder to groom as she has arthritis and has never really liked her paws being touched among a few other elderly pup issues, so nail trims and finding the right groomer can be difficult. I just showed a few pictures and her haircut is absolutely perfect. I saw that they’re really great with senior dogs and that is very much true! I didn’t feel nervous about dropping her off at all, and she wasn’t stressed out in the least when I got there to pick her up (which is normally the case in other grooming environments where she’s around a lot of other dogs). They also gave us a cute little holiday card with the most adorable Polaroid of her too. We’ll definitely be back and I’m just so glad that I found this place! :)

Lisa is one of the best cat groomers I know. Myself being a cat groomer I could not bring myself to groom my old boy kitty Anakin. So Lisa offered to do a complete brush out on him. Not only was she gentle and kind but my cat was beautiful and shiny. Thank you Lisa!!

I took my ragdoll Birman cat to Portland City Pet Groomers today and am very happy I found her! We moved to Kenton and I was happy to find a groomer close by (my cat hates the car). After going to a specialized cat grooming place previously, I was a bit hesitant and wasn't sure what to expect. Lisa blew me away. I greatly appreciated the communication ahead of the appt. The salon is very cute and I love that it is one appointment at a time. Great communication during the appt and my cat looks so good! Her coat is beautiful and the tapered trim I asked for is perfect. My cat was very calm when I picked her up. Lisa gave me detailed notes about the visit and the health of my cat's fur. I am very pleased and so thrilled to have found Lisa and her awesome business!
