Pups with a Purpose have great trainers and do a fantastic job. The training was simple and straight forward. We are now a therapy team/s (Tucker, wife and I). Very much appreciate the many answers to questions and walking through the steps to reach certification. Thank you!!!
We highly recommend Pups with a Purpose! We scheduled 1:1 day training for our new rescue pup and our trainer, Maddie, was incredible! Our pup had reactivity issues and she was so patient and helpful - not just for our dog, but also for the humans in the family! She always sent videos and detailed updates about what to do at home so training was consistent. After 5-6 weeks, we saw a dramatic reduction in barrier reactivity and frustrated greeting from him. We enjoy walks and our backyard now! He also learned basic skills and day training was helpful for him to practice frequently and often and get 1:1 attention to really reinforce the skills. We also use structured daycare and our dog loves it! It's great that it's a smaller group and the dogs get to know each other and do a little training during the day as well. They send photos and videos throughout the day and they make our day. All of the staff are so friendly and they love all of the dogs so much! Highly recommend Pups with a Purpose for training and structured daycare!
We are so happy that we found Pups with a Purpose! We completed the day training program with our puppy Gigi and also have her attend the structured daycare program a couple of days a week. Gigi learned so much during her day training and with the weekly "homework" and training follow up sessions, we have a good foundation to continue her training at home. Maddie was so wonderful to work with. We also love the structured daycare program so much that we drive from Elkhorn two days a week to bring Gigi to Pups with a Purpose. The staff are all amazing and we feel so comfortable leaving Gigi in their care. She loves it there and we know that the staff genuinely love and care for her. I would absolutely recommend Pups with a Purpose to anyone looking for training and/or a daycare program that is more than your usual doggy daycare!
Pups with a Purpose has been awesome. We signed up Mochi for puppy socialization classes, puppy essentials, and of course, daycare when we’re able to. We like being able to provide her with positive, supervised dog time since she is currently an “only dog.” She is always excited to go, and we love getting updates with photos and videos.
We have completed three classes (Puppy Essential Skills, Advanced Puppy Skills, and Therapy Dog Readiness) as we work towards getting Cooper certified as a therapy dog. All of the trainers (Jessica, Maddie, Bethany, and Gina) we have worked with in the classes have been amazing! Cooper has made great progress because of the skills we have learned in these classes. He also attends the structured daycare program every week. I think it might be his favorite place to be, as he can't get in the door fast enough every morning when we get there. They also send out the cutest pictures and videos from daycare!
