Do not go here for a special occasion! We came here for 2 nights for our wedding night. Big mistake. Hotel its self is at best 3 star. Service isnt there, the halls are loud in the mornings so you will be woken up daily. No communication between staff and departments, no idea i was turning up in a wedding gown. Terrible layout to pack more people in, spa is good, but its overly busy and fills with teen influences on the night. It was so bad and were woken on the second morning that we wanted to check out early (we were put by the stairs, opposite 2 staff rooms and above the kitchen. Very hot. Very loud) wanted to leave the mediocre breakfast. However, you have to wait for staff to start work 7.30am. No one can help you until then. There are far better spas out there, dont waste your money. P s there is a sustainability sign in the room yet give out a ton of paper on check in. Very sustainable! Amex not accepted, dont have change at the front desk so card only and rooms need updating as things are broken.

My Mum very kindly treated us to a two-night spa break over the festive period, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. After undergoing intensive medical treatment recently, the experience was exactly what I needed and felt truly restorative. We loved starting our days early to enjoy the facilities while it was peaceful and quiet. Having the rooftop pool to ourselves was a real highlight, watching the sunrise from there felt incredibly special. The thermal spa experience was equally impressive, with a wide variety of themed rooms offering something for everyone. We especially loved the candle pool, along with the many different spaces designed for rest and relaxation, which made it easy to fully unwind and spend time switching off. Our room was cosy and comfortable, making it easy to completely unwind. It was nice to have Elemis products in the room to use, adding that extra bit of luxury. We also enjoyed several spa treatments during our stay, all of which were deeply relaxing and delivered with such care and attentiveness that they truly enhanced the experience. The food throughout our stay was exceptional, complemented by attentive and thoughtful service. Every moment was thoroughly enjoyable, and we will most definitely be returning.

My husband treated me to a birthday weekend here, and we participated in the Twilight Spa on Saturday 6th December during the afternoon and evening. The spa facilities were fantastic, one of the best spas we’ve been to. It’s a beautiful hotel and spa to visit, especially around Christmas time, as it was decorated beautifully. All the staff in various departments were very helpful, polite and professional. We particularly appreciated the introductory drink and itinerary planning with one of the ladies (I can’t remember her name, but she was very friendly and professional). It was a lovely touch and a great way to begin a relaxing evening. After enjoying the spa facilities, especially the rooftop swimming pool and candlelit pool. We had massage treatments which were incredibly relaxing. I believe my beauty therapist was Neeta, and she did a brilliant job. We ended the evening with a two-course dinner, which was absolutely delicious, especially the soup for starters—one of the best soups we’ve ever had (and we’re not usually soup lovers!). We finished the night at the Twilight Bar with cocktails and mocktails. The décor was gorgeous, and the drinks were delicious. We would definitely return and highly recommend this experience.

One of the best spas I have ever attended. The food was 5-star, and the number of different relaxation rooms here is brilliant. For total unwinding and relaxation, it's bliss. I also had a lovely facial and massage. Dressing gowns are available to change into when required, along with towels and complimentary shower gel and shampoo. We didn't stay overnight as it's very expensive, so we went for a spa day as a birthday treat. I would love to return in the future. Access for wheelchairs can be difficult when using the spa. Plenty of parking.

We had a fantastic stay at Ragdale, the service was amazing every step of the way. Excellent 3 course meal in the dining room with a lovely wine paring. The thermal spa was very relaxing, I enjoyed the thought room and my partner didn’t want to leave the candle pool. My partner and I enjoyed a deep tissue massage. I suffer from shoulder pain and the therapist altered the treatment to adjust which instantly gave me relief. We enjoyed a spacious room - comfortable beds, and everything you need for a nights rest. The main lounge was super cosy in the evening with the fire and a hot chocolate. the only downside was we wish we had done 2 nights. Thanks to the team for a memorable stay.
