We had an amazing time with Reel Time Events during our family trip to Edinburgh. They organised a Highland Games experience and a ceilidh dancing workshop for us, and it was honestly one of the highlights of the trip. Everything felt relaxed, fun, and really well run. The Highland Games were great for all ages, and the ceilidh dancing workshop was easy to follow, full of energy, and had everyone laughing and joining in — even those who were a bit shy at first. The team were friendly, patient, and clearly love what they do. It was a brilliant way to experience Scottish culture together as a family, and we’ll be talking about it for a long time. Highly recommended.

Roddy and his team were absolutely fantastic! We hired his music band and dancers for a 20 minutes performance during a gala dinner in Edinburgh, and it was truly amazing. The performance was energetic, perfectly timed, and Roddy was extremely professional from start to finish. The atmosphere they created with his band and dancers was incredible. The Scots really know how to bring the energy! Everything that had been agreed in advance together was fully respected, which made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. A huge thank you to Roddy and his team for such a memorable moment!

Roddy – Our Incredible Piper Hearing Sir Roddy play as we were getting ready was the most magical “wedding countdown” we could have imagined. His joyful piping filled the halls and created an atmosphere that felt both iconic and deeply personal. He was an absolute dream to work with — kind, warm, and genuinely invested in making our day special. Our guests adored him. As a couple traveling from the US, experiencing such a meaningful Scottish tradition firsthand meant the world to us. Roddy went above and beyond (even playing a little Taylor Swift!), and it’s a memory we’ll cherish forever. DJ James – The Perfect Ending to Our Night To close out the celebration, DJ James was phenomenal. We shared a bit about who we are as a couple — not big dancers, more “dance around the kitchen to our favorite soundtracks” kind of people — and he delivered the exact vibe we hoped for. He created a joyful, comfortable, completely us atmosphere in the middle of a castle. It was the perfect ending to an already incredible day. Final Thoughts We highly recommend working with this company. From the heart-stirring pipes to the perfect dance-floor energy, they made our wedding not just an event, but an experience we and our guests will remember forever.

Can not give enough praise to Roddy and his team at Reel Time Events. We used his services for our wedding and from start to finish it was nothing but professionalism. We had several activities from Reel Time Events like the Highland games, Falconry display and piping. All three were 10/10. The Highland games were a great mix of fun, learning and competitiveness. His team of Pete and Steven were both hilarious and knowledgeable. We had an owl ring delivery and falconry display that made every go wow. Graham's display of his beautiful birds were simply breathtaking. Roddy himself does the piping and he truly is remarkable. His bagpiping skills are world class. Amazing experience overall.
