Our annual Mother Daughters Christmas brunch included the next generation of daughters. We needed to find a new spot and Regine Cafe did not disappoint. The few dietary restrictions around the table were met with actual menu options. Amazing vegan, gluten free and dairy free items without the need to substitute or avoid an ingredient. Had a wonderful time. It's definitely our new spot for our yearly meal. Thank you!
I came here for early brunch. I didn’t have any reservation but there were tables available because I came early (9AM). As you as you walk in, you are warmly greeted by the waiter. The decor of the place is really cozy. I ordered the salmon waffle. The presentation was lovely. It was very filling. My friend had the mushroom toast. She said it was delicious. I also had a matcha latte with a scone and a crème brûlée, all very tasty. The service here is great. Staff is very friendly.
Something magical about the vibe as soon as you enter this cafe! From the lovely decor, to the free tasty juice to welcome us, to the attention to detail on our chai latte, decadent dishes, and delicious pistachio brioche (their usual brioche is cinnamon but they have monthly flavors too, and this was pistachio) Service was absolutely fantastic (thanks to Florence!) cheerful and sweet just like the theme of this beautiful cafe! Food was fresh and delicious! Will definitely come back for their hot chocolate (made with melted chocolate bits) and Scotch eggs!
We finally get to see what the hype is all about, and we’ll be back to taste a few more items from the menu. Everything looks really good on the menu, but we could not try them all obviously. The grilled cheese was excellent, and so was the Scotch egg (house favorite item on the menu). My “chic croissant” was good but a bit disappointing since I am not sure if it was home made or not…? I was expecting a much tastier croissant and warmer. It did not taste like it was fresh since we were the first to arrive with our 9 am reservation. The service was almost outstanding from start to finish. The host offered us a hot drink since we got there a few minutes earlier than 9 am, and we got a table for 4 which was plenty of space for 2. Where they missed out on the service level: the food sat on the pass for over 5 min. after the kitchen rang the bell! Not because all the servers were busy they just did not pay attention, so the food temperature was not as warm as it should have been. They also got my order wrong, so they had to re fire… Since the tables are very close, the noise level was getting higher as the dining room got filled.
Our meal started with a complimentary glass of juice, a refreshing gesture that immediately set a cheerful tone. The Scotch egg stood out with its rich and distinctive flavor — something I don’t often come across a lot on brunch menus. Each of the three dishes we ordered was flavorful and satisfying, though they leaned salty. Next time, I would definitely balance it out by adding a sweet option, which I imagine would make the overall experience even more enjoyable. Overall, recommend!
