We enrolled our two adopted GSPs (barely three years old) with Ridgeside K9 for the three-week board and train program and they were placed with Perry and Brandi. The boys were unruly, had minimal basic training, and were impossible to leash walk. We were somewhat hesitant about the use of an e-collar but after having them back home and learning how to use the device appropriately ourselves, we have experienced significant improvements in managing them.The Ridgeside training greatly accelerated their behavioral improvements inside and outside our home. We still work actively to reinforce their foundational training and achieve continued improvements. Perry and Brandi gave them excellent care, sent photos each evening, and remained available to answer any questions we had throughout the training program. The day they delivered the boys home they spent many hours with us explaining the training methodology and teaching us how to use the e-collar. We’re very satisfied with the training results and the progress our boys made in their care, and we’re especially appreciative of their expertise and dedication. Perry and Brandi were instrumental in making our GSPs more enjoyable family members and better dog citizens.

We were naturally nervous about leaving our puppy for the first time, but Kenny and Sarah at Ridgeside K9 were incredibly reassuring and immediately put us at ease. We loved receiving the daily photo updates and videos of our puppy girl’s training progress. She came home happy, healthy, and noticeably more attentive. We especially appreciated the 'go-home' session where they showed us exactly what she learned. We highly recommend their boarding and training program for anyone who wants peace of mind.

We had an incredible experience with Zach at Ridgeside K9! Our 11-month-old Lab puppy, Murphy, completed a 3-week board and train with him, and we were absolutely blown away by the results. Before training, walks were tough because Murphy was very reactive when he saw other dogs—he just wanted to go play. Now, he notices them but immediately comes right back to me when I ask. His heel manners improved incredibly, and best of all, he’s no longer jumping on every person he meets. The most impressive improvement has been his recall. Murphy can be playing with other dogs in the yard and will come running the second we call him. That alone has been a game changer for us. Murphy is our big, goofy baby, and we were nervous about sending him away for training, but Zach made the entire process so easy and reassuring. We received daily updates and pictures, and it was amazing to watch Murphy’s progress throughout his time with Zach. We could tell by the pictures and videos that Murphy was so happy and enjoying training. I would recommend anyone considering a board and train to reach out to Zach. He is amazing, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about dogs. We would absolutely use him again with our future dogs!

Our 6 month old puppy completed the 2 week board and train program with Danny at Ridgeside K9. We could not be more pleased with the experience. From our first conversation to learn more about the program, through the duration of his 2 week stay, our concerns, questions and desired outcomes were heard. His training was customized to our needs and we are more comfortable and confident than ever. Especially with a baby on the way, we wanted to make sure we have a strong foundation and mutual respect to ensure a happy household. Danny’s expertise, patience and passion was evident throughout. We enjoyed the daily updates, and loved seeing the variety of skills, situations and experiences our dog was tested on and in. Training is a lifelong investment, and we are so grateful to Danny for all of his guidance. Now, we even more tools in our toolbox for a successful partnership with our dog. We recently had our English Bulldog trained by Shannon with Ridgeside K9. I don't have enough positive words to say about our experience. Betsy was, as Shannon put it, a bit spicy! She used her mouth to express her many feelings, she was overwhelmed with having 3 human brothers and felt like she could be the pack leader. Shannon's expertise over 4 weeks of boarding and training hit the nail on the head for Betsy. She is now highly responsive to her commands, able to hang out with the family in and out of the house, attend baseball games, be around other dogs politely, and so much more! We were at our wits end with Betsy's behaviors and Ridgeside K9 was our Hail Mary. The price of 4 weeks was daunting, but I can honestly say in this scenario: you get what you pay for (and worth every last penny!) Shannon Todd is a complete miracle worker. She spent hours upon hours working with Betsy and returned our naughty, stubborn girl back a well behaved proud lady! Every single day we received a detailed text with pictures and videos letting us know what the material covered for the day was, why it's important and how to maintain and utilize it when home. Shannon even threw Betsy a 2nd birthday party, as Betsy was there over her birthday. We are eternally grateful!
