We felt so welcomed as soon as we walked in. Everyone we encountered was so nice. Zoe was great with Cody and Dr. Trahan was great at explaining everything we needed to know. Very informative and personable. Cody calmed down quickly and he has never been this calm with any other vet since his very first vet from years ago. River Road Vet is our new home.
The techs are so nice and caring! They always listen to any concerns I have and it makes me feel heard about my pet! And Dr. wheeler is so thorough with her exams and explains all steps so clearly that it makes me feel good that my pet is in such good hands!
To say I am happy with the care the medical team has given my sweet Borzoi Louie would be the understatement of my life. I have worked with many vets, vet techs, and support staff team members. The whole entire team at River Road is by far and away the most INCREDIBLE and COMPASSIONATE animal healthcare team in town! The wellness plan they offer through Snout allows for predictability in finances while also offering insane value. I was able to afford things easily that normally would have put more strain on my finances, and that is after accidentally selecting a plan that was more expensive and unnecessary as it provided for things my dog would not need. Borzois are not seen often even by vet offices, but all of the junior and senior medical staff were already aware of the breeds strengths and weaknesses and knew what they were looking at immediately. One of the many things that were included in the wellness plan on offer was a dental procedure. The medical team had to be extra attentive with my sweet boy during the dental work because Borzoi’s can be very sensitive to anesthesia. They pulled it off without a hitch, and now my boy’s teeth look fantastic and healthy! They even give you super high res before and after pictures. Clean open air lobby. Very short waits. Staff gives you multiple ways to communicate from home if you have any concerns. Staff matriculates from other well regarded vet offices or hospitals. Specialist on staff like cardiologist for more detailed check ups and concerns. I could go on. To top it all off I just received the sweetest card welcoming me and Louie signed by the whole team with an illustration of my dog! This is not just a trusted place to go for your dogs medical care, but it’s a place where you can meet like minded individuals who are passionate about your animals.
Dr. Wheeler was very patient and answered all my questions. The staff were so great with my puppy girl. The visit was totally interactive and transparent. Everything was done in the room with me present - not "in the back" where most vets seem to do everything these days - I want to see what's being done and given to my dog. Dr. Wheeler was very knowledgeable and thorough which I very much appreciate!
Lottie had a great visit with Dr. Trahan! The service was very attentive and warm from the moment we walked in. Dr. Trahan and the tech did an amazing job at explaining things to us and were so great with my Lottie! Also the staff was super helpful after the appointment when I needed vet notes and documents. 10/10 experience!
