Shane is phenomenal! He was super knowledgeable about everything hair and it showed in his work. He took the time to understand what I was looking for and explained to me what he is doing and why throughout the process. The results speak for themselves! I recently got a hair cut and balayage and am obsessed with how it looks. Not only did he make my hair look amazing but he was extremely personable and funny, making it a 10/10 experience.
Best hair cut I’ve had in a very long time. I will be coming back. Shane is amazing and it’s been my experience that finding a stylist who can cut women’s short hair and make it flattering and feminine is hard to come by. I found my guy! The salon is also beautiful and parking is easy. Highly recommended!
Shane is highly skilled. He understood exactly what I wanted. I was proud when I walked out. My spirits were soaring. In fact I enjoyed the camaraderie between the technicians while I was there. It was like a day trip with friends. My color is beautiful and natural. And my style was amazing. Shane is extremely relatable and full of positivity and joy.
From the moment I walked into The Root Salon, I felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. Madison greeted me warmly and offered a selection of beverages — coffee, wine, still or sparkling water (plain or fruity!) — such a thoughtful touch that immediately set the tone for the experience. My appointment was with Traci, who was ready for me the moment I arrived (no waiting — always a plus!). I came in feeling incredibly self-conscious after a previous haircut gone wrong and a few DIY “fixes” that didn’t help. Traci, however, is truly an artist. She reassured me with confidence and compassion, taking my uneven cut like something out of Edward Scissorhands — but with a promise to transform it into a flattering, effortless style that would suit my face and lifestyle. And she delivered. She even shared some great at-home styling tips so I could keep the look fresh between visits. After the cut, Meagan did a quick and seamless color touch-up, and then Madison whisked me away again for a luxurious shampoo, glaze, and a heavenly head massage — the cherry on top of an already amazing experience. I walked in feeling like a 4 and left feeling like a 10. These ladies not only gave me a great cut and color, but also a real boost of confidence that I’ll carry with me for a long time. Thank you Traci, Madison, Meagan — your work made a difference and I’m so grateful.
Where do I begin? I am so happy with the outcome of my hair color and cut. I wanted to cover greys without looking like I colored my hair and Shane was able to make my hair look so natural but shiny and healthy. My family ooh'd and ahh'd so much when I got home and couldn't stop touching my hair. I love my beachy waves! Plus Shane is so personable and friendly. Made me feel very welcome and heard. Very happy and will be back!
