Long overdue review. This was an absolutely beautiful museum. Was not expecting much, but was completely impressed with the whole exhibit. It was beautiful inside and out.
Overall, I really enjoyed visiting this museum and learned a lot about Egyptian history and culture. It does feel a little bit dated, but it is still very easy to read everything and see all of the different artifacts. There’s a wide variety in types of items and sculptures and artwork. Many pieces were replicas from the British Museum, but there were a few original pieces as well however, I did not enjoy the AI animatronic man in the alchemy exhibit, Very spooky.
The museum was nice I thought it was going to be bigger but they are in the middle of renovations so im very much looking forward to going back when it's all done. The planetarium was not open either because of renovations. All in all for a Sunday afternoon it was a pleasant time.
Pretty good if you can get past where the money and artifacts came from for this place. The Rosecrucian ARORC order in the US has funded this place with old money, so the entry fee is quite modest for the artifact they have. The building itself is also a bit of a wonder, with a nice small garden around it. It takes a good couple of hours for a good look through all the wings. The faux temple is a bit cringy, especially with the over-the-top narration from the guides. I guess it makes there day a bit more fun. Great for the kids though.
This was a fun and inexpensive exhibit. I would say a must-see! I have been to a few, and I learned a bunch at this one. The alchemy area and the replica tomb area were super unique and neat. Kids and adults alike would love this. Unless I missed it, it didn't look like there was a gift shop! I would have supported this place if there was anything, my only recommendation
