This review is worth the read…. Very honest and stated facts. I’ve gone back and forth about sharing this review, as we have used this groomer consistently since 2019. Over the years, our dog has been groomed by at least 6-7 different individuals, possibly more. The turnover has always been high, and we’ve never been able to keep the same groomer for more than a year. Because of that, I make a point to explain our dog’s grooming preferences each time, but no one has ever taken notes or added anything to her file to my knowledge because when I have asked there were no notes in your profile. As a result, every groom ends up slightly different, and we have to start from scratch at each appointment. In 2022, a few days after a grooming, our dog had her annual vet visit. During the exam, the vet told us her anal glands were very swollen and irritated. I was surprised because expressing the glands was included in the grooming service. The vet had to perform the procedure instead. I reached out to Rub-a-Dub-Dub right away and was connected with the owner. He reviewed the video of the grooming and confirmed the glands were not expressed. To make it right, he refunded that groom, credited our next one, and even offered to cover the vet bill. I declined the vet reimbursement because I still felt someone needed to be paid for the service. Because the owner took responsibility and handled it well, we chose to continue using them. Fast forward to November 2025, the exact same situation happened again. I contacted the owner on November 25, 2025. He responded quickly, said he would review the footage, and told me he would follow up that afternoon. When I didn’t hear back, I texted again the next day. No reply. I reached out one more time on December 5 and never received a response. I still have all the text threads. After being a loyal customer since 2019, the lack of communication was disappointing, especially since this was a repeat of a documented issue from a few years prior. It also made me wonder how many other times this might have happened without us knowing simply because we didn’t have a vet appointment right after a groom. Because of all this, we’ve decided to bring our business elsewhere. It’s unfortunate, as we stayed with them for years, but we no longer feel confident continuing with their services.

I have always had great service from Heather but it was always having her call me. The management and get answers or call backs is poor say the least. I feel sorry for the groomers because clearly the management doesn’t care to call customers back after you leave a message. Great groomers terrible communication

We have always had a great experience here. Staff always greets us and makes sure we are helped. We specifically came to Rub A Dub Dub for our groomer Kisha. She is the best! We had trouble with our Yorkie-poo Terrier (Tank) going to the groomer. He would nip and bite anyone that would touch his paws. Kisha was a lifesaver for us. She took the time to get to know Tank and was able to not only touch his paws but trim his nails. Every time since then we have taken him to see her. We recently got a golden doodle and she takes the time to trim his wildness (fur) as well. We would trust no one else to take care of our pups. Thank you for all you do.
