The whale-watching cruise completely exceeded our expectations! Fortunately, we had a beautiful day—hardly a cloud in the sky. The waters were very calm for January. I saw more humpback whales on this cruise (4 total), than I did on a similar cruise in Alaska! Two of the whales even put on a quite a show, "mugging" the boat for more than 40 minutes. I found the Rudee team to be very respectful of this wildlife, following guidelines to keep a safe distance from the animals. These two whales were literally doing circles around the boat, very close to the sides! We had incredible views of all fins, the blowholes, and the tails. You could even smell the "whale breath" from their exhale. We couldn't proceed until they decided they had seen enough of us and moved on. I realize the Rudee crew can't control when or where the whales are. Our sightings actually happened toward the end of the cruise. You are guaranteed to see marine wildlife, and trust me, even the bottlenose dolphin would be enough. (I also highly recommend the Dolphin Cruise during the summer.)

We had such a wonderful experience boating on the beach to watch the dolphins! The crew was friendly, professional, and made the trip relaxing and fun. The boat ride itself was smooth, and the views of the coastline were beautiful. The highlight was definitely seeing the dolphins swim alongside us—it felt magical and unforgettable. This was a perfect outing for both relaxation and adventure, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Have done 1 Dolphin tour and 2 speed boat tours over the years. The speed boat tour price went up to $28 but still worth it. You get a speed boat ride AND they stop and you get to watch the dolphins. Nice crew working the marina and boat.

This was such an amazing tour! We stopped and viewed the dolphins. The tour staff and the distillery staff were all super friendly. It was the perfect amount of time. The boat was nice and even had a snack bar and restrooms. We had pretty calm seas but definitely take dramamine an hour before. I highly recommend this experience!

I recently experienced a trip out on the Mariner with a group of great kids. The crew was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. I was helping bait lines and take fish off lines for the kids, but it seemed like anytime there was a snag or problem, one of the crew was immediately there. We had a great time, and they kept the kids fishing and engaged! I would love to plan a trip in the future with these guys!
