I love this store and come here often! Absolutely do not understand the 1 star reviews, but I've never had a bad experience here and I've been shopping/selling for 4 years. It's not a traditional thrift store so expect to pay ~$10 for a shirt, but it is a curated shopping experience. You can save money by selling some of your clothes you don't wear anymore. The employees are always nice and helpful.
Simply put rumors is dope in Richmond staple I know the owners and was there at the inception of the store and let me tell you what it used to be cooler because they would have live bands there I saw japanther and health there and it was just amazing and they give fair prices for stuff both buying and selling. This is one of those vintage stores that has not ruined the concept of buying second hand clothes by having someone on staff who evaluates every niche piece of clothing and draws from how much demand there is for a super specific hard to find thing when virtually all the stuff from that year is no longer in print obviously and yeah I don't know they don't they don't check stuff to see if there's some person in Japan who would pay $250 for that vintage power violence T-shirt or whatever they just saw their t-shirts for like pretty much the same price that's great and that's just the attitude of the whole place Casey and Marche are the gangsters and let's hear it for rumors everybody yeah yeah got my first skinny jeans at this place
I have ordered once from here and had a very positive experience. The piece I bought is one of my favorite clothing items now. For me I think the price was very reasonable and shipping was very fast (to Europe). The item also had a tiny damage so they contacted me beforehand, showed me pictures of the damage and I could choose if I wanted to cancel the order or still get it (with a 10% discount). Oh and the employees are very friendly! Im very pleased and would definitely buy again!
Rumors is an amazing Richmond institution! Great music, awesome employees, you’ll find it all here. They pay great for your gently used clothes, they have killer band tees and the vintage clothes prices can’t be beat. Do yourself a favor and stop by today!!!
From a cool Muse tee shirt for dad, to a Brady Bunch style dress for the daughter.. that I may actually sneak and borrow when she’s not looking…. all 5 of us got something cool! Including hair dye! It’s always a fun adventure at Rumors with really nice employees.
