This 5 star review was recommended by my 5 yr old daughter. She loved the chicken-65 and the biriyani! I tried the chatti choru with chicken. The chatti choru was delicious: the rasam, the sambhar, avial and all other curries with it. The food felt like very well seasoned and well cooked. It felt authentic and homely. A hidden gem! The price was reasonable.
Nice lunch place, ordered cauliflower fry Mini idli Panner butter masala Poori Tava dry Panner biryani All decent food taste. Service was really nice, no waiting, once ordered via toast app. In matter of minutes food started showing up. Extremely nice presentation and its gold plated Plates, spoons, etc. lovely ambience ! Courtesy staff and easy going. Would def recommend this place.
We tried the chati choru (veg and goat) meals along with the chicken 65 appetizer. The chari choru is basically a bowl with a bed of rice and different curries served atop it. They served raw banana poriyal (dry stir fry), sambar, onion curry, rasam, tomato Chutney and fresh pickle with the rice in the vegetarian version. The goal chari choru had a goat curry and stir fry instead of the veg stir fry. It did not come with a dessert side, which is something I would’ve expected in a thali-like offering. The service was good and the restaurant had limited seating inside. Since it was a rainy day, I didn’t notice any tables or diners eating out around the porch. Portion size was adequate for one and the spice level was mild. The filter coffee was strong and came in a beautifully illustrated cup.
Wonderful presentation of their modern take on thaali. None of the individual items are extra ordinary or so called very authentic however when it’s assembled and presented together in the manner it’s done, it brings out the uniqueness. I would have liked it even more if it was served a little warmer. This was my second visit, and the taste is consistent. Besides this, tried the chicken lollipop in starters and Chicken biriyani made with seeraga samba rice. They were all good, not very spicy but flavorful. Everything served in the brass like utensils gives a great traditional vibe. One suggestion for the Chatti Choru dish is to offer half a piece of some flatbread choices (rumali roti/parotta) by reducing the quantity of rice to make it a balanced meal.
We had the veg and the non veg chatti chor and filter coffee. Delicious food, very tasty and satisfying! This was our first time in person at the restaurant, after having had their food delivered home/office many times! They have done a great job with the ambiance and the space, with great attention to detail from the layout, cutlery, and especially the food. I love the artwork inside as well as on their to-go cups and boxes! The staff was very attentive as well. Bala and others were very hospitable, while also being quite busy (Sunday and the day before Diwali!)
