Decided to celebrate my birthday on a double deck boat this past Saturday . I was a bit nervous since a cold front came in and it was around 68 degrees. Nonetheless, captain LB did an amazing job to make sure we had the best time possible! Her and her crew mate made sure we were safe and enjoying our time regardless of the weather. Can’t wait to be back!

In town from Ft. Lauderdale for a softball tournament, had a day to kill and the group decided on pontoon boats and tubing. Best day!!! Staff was super kind, helpful, and informative - even went the extra mile to run out a jet ski and get us additional life vests. Three solid hours of fun! Saw the party boat as it was leaving and it was packed with partygoers. Would definitely recommend Sam’s Dock to anyone looking to have some fun on the lake. Instructions on running the boat were easy, no captain necessary (unless you happen to have one in your group) just sit back, catch some rays and let the guys with the dad bods relive their glory days running a boat, trying to bounce kids off the tube.

A fairly large group of us were in town for a softball tournament and we had a free day with nothing to do. We decided to rent a couple of pontoon boats from Sam’s and I’ll say it was a great decision. Ben answered the phone at 9am and set us up with 2 boats with rafts for noon. Check in was a breeze and we were on the water after some quick instructions. The lake was beautiful and our teenage girls had the best time on the tubes. We spent 3 hours on the lake and we enjoyed every minute of it. If I’m ever back in the area I’ll definitely be a repeat customer. Thanks guys!!

Updating my review…since Captain Gregg chose 5 stars for himself (yes he had my phone, pressed 5 stars and literally said “now type out a review, mention my name, and let me see it before you submit it.” We were definitely pressured to make reviews before we docked and ended our boat rental. Now reading these other 5-star reviews makes me wonder if they were all forced. At least we had James and he was a much more pleasant helper. Captain Gregg must have had a bad group before us because he started off our rental with mad, grumpy vibes and even took a nap during our cruise. He seemed upset and frustrated before we even got on the boat and then the vibe carried throughout our rental. We would have had a much better time if we didn’t feel like we were in trouble the whole time without reason. Our families had a great time on the lake regardless. There were a total of 25 adults and children combined just trying to enjoy the day. It was ironic that he announced at the beginning: “I’m the fun captain!” Hmmmm. Debatable. Good luck if you ever get him. Hopefully you catch him on a better day!

I booked the deluxe boat with Captain Ben and we had the time of our life!! Great crew kept us safe and was fully attentive the entire time. Make sure you don’t go over the capacity limit else someone will have to get left ashore. Check them out and plan accordingly!!! My crew had the time of our lives. 10/10 would go again
