I was fortunate enough to be seen by Aleksa Denny when I went in to have a thumb brace fitted. Aleksa was terrific to work with. She is attentive and caring, and gave many additional guidelines for dealing with arthritis in the wrist and thumbs. I highly recommend her for your hand care needs. After seeing her and telling my physical therapist about my visit with Aleksa even she told me she had seen her and had had he same terrific experience as I did. That's something coming from a PT.

After waiting for 2 months to see a hand specialist, I finally made the first visit this week to Select Physical Therapy on Geary, SF I feel it was worth waiting so far. Aleksa seems to be super expert in what she does. I particularly like her detailed explanations and answers to my questions. I am looking forward to working with her to finally heal my hand to do what I need to do. Thank you🙏
I've gone to select PT for probably a year in total now, and I would highly recommend this practice. I've been treated by both OT Aleksa Lapnas and PT Audrey Karim and had a great experience with both of them. Aleksa treated me for an elbow injury from which I made a full recovery. Audrey helped me get some chronic knee pain into a long-term sustainable state, and helped me strengthen an injured shoulder for my demanding physical hobbies. Both practitioners were knowledgeable and kind - they patiently explained what their diagnoses were, and why, and provided similarly detailed explanations for every exercise. And while doing home exercises is crucial for successful physical therapy, both were understanding of life, just being busy and worked with me to build manageable home programs with a prioritized list of exercises. Some notes – they are pretty busy so try to schedule with them as early as possible. They also do double bookings for routine PT appointments (when you're there just to do exercise exercises) - this means one practitioner will be monitoring two patients at once. I never had an issue with this because I always felt supervised in my exercises, and besides an occasional form check, we do not need full-time supervision while doing exercises. They also made it clear that I should grab their attention if needed, and I always felt comfortable and able to do so, and they would still monitor my form even when I wasn't directly in front of them. Also shout out to the front desk staff - Jamie and Tiale are always organized and on top of the busy schedule and super sweet to boot.
I had great experience with Select Physical Therapy-Geary. Audrey is exceptional. Highly qualified, knowledgeable and patient. Audrey outlined an effective treatment plan suited to my recovery. I also worked with Sam(also highly skilled) during my treatment and they both keep you on track with your exercises. They look at your form and give a good amount of 1:1 attention. I also could not help notice that the other therapists at this office are also very attentive and kind to their patients. The entire staff works well together. I would recommend Select Physical Therapy-Geary to others looking for Physical Therapy.
