Tanisha is a rockstar! All the staff are super nice and made me feel very welcome. I got a dad’s haircut (yes, they do mom/dad haircuts too), and it turned out way better than my regular barbershop. Scheduling was easy through their online reservation portal. The store was quite crowded with walk-in kids, but they took care of me right away without any wait. Tanisha really listened to my preferences and paid great attention to detail. I’ll definitely be coming here regularly even when I’m not with my daughter.

Tanisha was wonderful with my wiggly 5 year old for her first salon cut. Tanisha was very patient and kind. Went out of her way to make sure my kiddo knew what was going to happen before she did it, made it a super comfortable visit for us. The rest of the staff present were all very nice and accommodating, although I didn't get their names. Check in was quickly done, no wait time, our appointment even started a few minutes early! I highly recommend the Sharkeys black diamond location.

Took my 4 yr old daughter and 1 year old son for first haircuts. Lisa did a fantastic job! My daughter has sensory needs and did not like the idea of a haircut, but Lisa and her team did a great job of making the experience fun for her. Her hair turned out great despite her constant movement. I was truly impressed! Thank you for taking the time to really care for my kiddos, we will definitely be back!

Great place for bring your kido for first and future hair cuts. I brought my almost three year old for her first hair cut. And Lisa was amazing! So was her co worker but I can't remember her name. My daughter had just woken up from a nap and was kind of shy and a little grumpy. But they blew bubbles, gave her a lollipop, did everything they could think of to help ease her. Finally she started to warm up and was able to get her hair cutt. They place cute little clips, did her nail, gave her a little ring and a sharkey tattoo. Everyone was super nice and it was all the little things that made the experience wonderful. Lisa thank you so much! We will be definitely coming back! Highly recommend

I wanted to love this place, but after our last experience I’m so upset. This is my son’s second haircut, the first time we came to Sharkey’s the woman really took her time and gave him a great cut and experience. The second time, the stylist sat him down and very shortly said “So, typical boy’s cut? Long on top short on the sides?” I said “Yeah just trim up the sides, back and the front so it isn’t in his eyes.” When I saw the clippers come out (instead of the scissors) I should have known. She hacked off most of my son’s hair and by no means did she do a good job. My son was very upset by the sound of the clippers and the stylist didn’t seem to have patience for him. The cut took about five minutes and the more it dried, the more upset I got realizing what she had done. My daughter was getting her haircut at the same time, so I had to kind of grin and bear it until we left. I’m giving two stars because our first experience was so vastly different, and because the woman who did my daughter’s cut was kind and patient. But this cut is just unacceptable to me and I don’t think we will be coming back. (I included the picture from his first cut for side by side reference.) Edit to add: My name as it reads on google is the same as what I booked under (it was previously under my maiden name). My kids were seen on Saturday (1/25) morning. Based on your booking site, I believe the stylist he saw was Kayla. (I plan to remove her name once I’ve confirmed you’ve seen the updated review as I understand mistakes happen and this may not be indicative of her usual performance.)
