Really cannot recommend these guys enough, from the stuff they sell in store to the behaviour training & patience the groomers have… and the talent I have seen from some of the groomers too. I’ve known the guys at Sheldon Dog Services for a long time, they’ve helped us on a few occasions with my own dog. But this time we went for something else. However this weekend I took my partner in with his Lab for a 45minute training advice session after he’d reached a point where he confessed he needed help to give us an insight on where exactly to start with him (which ran over and Shane was super patient with us). It was a real eye opener, he took the time to explain in depth what the main problem was (and it was actually not down to what we originally thought) and ensured he explained to my partner how to actually go about starting this work in a way he would understand. Taking the time to actually explain what he meant, not just telling him things expecting him to just know - he made sure he had some understanding of what was being said. Very honest but also understanding and clear too. The passion Shane has for dog training but also educating (and not belittling people) really does show & it does help in encouraging first time owners to do things better rather than just leaving them feeling overwhelmed and like they’ve failed and “that’s it”. They don’t just want to take your money, do their bit just in their time with you and go on about their day… they actually care about you leaving with a better insight and an actual plan of where to start after the advice session. Instead of telling us to book in right away for another session for the basic things that he took time to explain how to start fixing, he gave us a plan of things to work on first ourselves over the next few weeks and then explained that once we have that sorted (and that he would be able to tell haha!) we can then look to doing another session at home. They want to give the tools to train your dog and build that bond too, not just do it for you and leave you uneducated. I know my partner came out of that shop feeling more positive about the whole situation because he now has understanding and more of an idea of where to start. And that, as long as he puts that work in and is consistent those results will show. He got the exact help he was seeking - and that was exactly why when he said he needed help I was adamant he needed to try Sheldon Dog Services first. The products they sell in store are also amazing (especially their natural treat range!) and I cannot fault them honestly, I’ve loved this store since it opened there and this weekend was just more of a reason. If you’re genuinely wanting changes to come, and a confident trainer that’ll tell you how it is so you can make a start to changing things, I cannot recommend them enough.
I can’t recommend Sheldon Dog Services enough, Abi and the team are really lovely. My dog can be quite reactive, and finding someone who understands her has been a challenge, but these guys absolutely smashed it - she’s had the best grooms she’s ever had here! They even did a little Christmas photo shoot for her last time which was lovely, if you’re looking for a place that really goes above and beyond, this is definitely it!
We have been taking Teddy to Sheldon dog services to be groomed and I cannot recommend them enough! Teddy is very anxious, yet there has never been any issues with his groom and always comes out looking lovely. After having a bad experience with a previous groomer, I feel very comfortable knowing that Teddy is in safe hands here! Definitely recommend upgrading to the Halloween package too, the photos are lovely and teddy smells amazing! 🐶
As you can see by the photos they've done an awesome job on my senior Pomeranian. It was his first professional groom and he came home as if nothing happened. Thank you for providing such a positive experience for Harvey and making him look cute as floof !!
