It was a pleasant experience with Hannah! She is patient and really tries to make your vision come alive (even if you’re coming in lost and don’t know what to do), taking the time to understand what you’re wanting (helped me with going through pictures together and talking it out). She caters to your specific hair type and shares helpful tips! Lastly, she makes sure you’re comfortable throughout the process and great to chat with!
Jamese just does it every time. ATE/10 (10/10)!!! She is so experienced in color technique and working with different hair types (since no one besides my own mom has impressed me when dealing with my curly hair). I love her professional manner and soft touch. I literally fell asleep in her chair from how relaxing the experience was. I plan to recommend her to all my friends and family and will be back myself. I don’t get my hair done often, but I have *my* salon I go to because of her. She deserves all the love and the hype!
Love this cool salon in the heights. Jordan is phenomenal! He’s one of the few people I trust with my hair, and I highly recommend him for blonding. He brought my hair back to life with a California beach blonde vibe. He clearly keeps up with the newest/best techniques to achieve the look you want while making your hair look healthy (not over processed and damaged from the bleach). Hannah assisted him and is also lovely.
Mary was a sweetheart. She gave me exactly the look I requested and went the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable during the process. They even offered a Christmas promotion and I received a free gift. You can tell Shine truly cares for their clients and offers reasonable pricing. I am so happy and will definetly be back! I called to make a first time appointment. They asked for me to put a card on file. She said they wouldn't run my card but needed it on file to book the appointment. Ok...no problem. Then she asked for the security code. I said if you're not running the card why would you need the security code. ONLY THEN did she tell me they would run my card for 1/2 of what she determined the cost of my appointment to be if I was a no-show. 😱😱😱 I have heard of holding $50 in case of a no-show...but 1/2 of what THEY decide the cost would be. Which in my case would have been 1/2 of $338. So if a person no-shows you get $170 for doing nothing...stopppp! I have never been a no-show but that's outrageous. No wonder she didn't want to tell me. Of course I told her no thanks! Too many great salons in Houston to fall for that BS! PS: Tell your receptionist to be sure she tells people UP FRONT without them having to question her how much you're planning on hitting them for if they no-show!
