Lisa has been so helpful with training my dog Arlo! He is a puppy with lots of energy and her and her staff have had amazing patience and tips on how to best support his training journey. I love how prompt they are with responses and they make amazing training videos for you to watch of your dog. They are all so kind and he has made insane improvement although just starting out. I would highly recommend Sit Means Sit Long Beach to anyone looking for training assistance!!

Lisa Marie and her assistants were incredibly helpful in teaching me how to train my dog to be less aggressive towards other dogs so we could successfully integrate another dog into our home. Through in-person training, an on line library of educational videos and refresher courses I was given tools to help me assist my dog in achieving security and reduce resource guarding. But Lisa Marie went above and beyond when the rescue I was working with placed additional requirements on me and my dog prior to adoption and she helped me meet those demands. I wish I had found her and Sit Means Sit first before spending so much money on other trainers that yielded very little results if any. I can’t say enough nice things about Lisa Marie and Sit Means Sit. I highly recommend.

My dog Guapo has had a history of reactive behavior pretty much his whole life. Bikes, skateboards, people, and DOGS were huge triggers for him. I was never fully comfortable taking him anywhere and like any dog parent with a reactive pup I stuck to secluded places to walk together. The more he reacted the less confident I felt leaving my house with him. I did so much research on different training techniques and even went to another dog trainer for guidance to no avail. Until I decided to give finding a trainer one more go, and I’m so happy I did. We started this training journey in February of 2025 and I started to see major improvement in his behavior on walks and in public around May. Today, I could not be more pleased with the progress he has made. Walking him is a breeze, with little to no reactions on our daily walks. My boy is 10 now and it’s been the most amazing and rewarding experience being able to enjoy him in public settings. I’ve taken him to hotels, dog beaches, cafes and busy downtown areas. Even a campground with dogs right next to us! None of this would have been possible without the guidance and support of Lisa Marie and Candice. If you are looking for a training program that will teach you the tools you need to train your dog(s) then look no further. With consistency and dedication it’s worth every cent. Update: Nov. 2025 We’ve been attending group class/ pack walks every week, and it’s really paid off! Plus, we just had our first annual canine competition, and it was a blast! Such a great community to be involved in.

We found Lisa-Marie more than 2 years ago to help us with our reactive dog. We tried everything else and multiple other trainers and nothing else worked. Training with Lisa-Marie has allowed us to attend numerous group classes and pack walls which helped our dog’s reactivity immensely. We enrolled our second dog into training as well and are so glad that we did. The two of them are much more confident and obedient pup which has improved their and our lives! We can enjoy activities together and give them more freedom to be dogs!

We have seen so much progress and change in behaviors with our two dogs (4 year old and 8 month old) from training with Sit Means Sit dog training. Our 4 yr. old was a good pup but as soon as we got the new one, it was as if she reverted back to a pup not listening to commands or being super reactive to other people, dogs and our new pup. She pulled us all over the block when we tried walking her and it was more of a chore than actual walking. Our pup was annoying to our 4 yr. old and became more of a nuissance with continuous barking and jumping all over her older sister, and not knowing simple commands. With the training from Anthony who has been absolutely amazing with them has taught us and our pups to learn, listen to commands given and put them to use everyday. After just the first visit we could see that they had already made some progress and could tell we had made the best choice by choosing to go with Sit Means Sit. Lisa Marie has also been a great support as well with any questions and training scheduling, she’s very personable and always just a phone call or text away if we need advice or training tips. It has meant everything to us to find someone who loves what she does and does it so well!! I’d say the only thing is the price for this training. It has definitely been worth it to us for sure but it may be an issue for some. We had done our research in multiple training businesses and so for us it was a very easy decision. Prices for training in our area were similar but the thing we liked best with Sit Means Sit is that we were able to have a consult with LisaMarie before we decided. We love that there were different training options such as in house training, personal training and group training which we hope we’ll be invited to do with other dogs eventually. That is our main goal to be able to be with other dogs and not worry that my older one would react to them in a negative way and loose leash walking!! We are so happy we chose to go with Sit Means Sit and would 10/10 recommend! Pictured is our two girls- loose leashed and sitting on “place”!
