Yum... Smashing Tomato pizza is thee place in Lexington! They have great service, very friendly staff who operate effectively and smoothly. They have outdoor seating. Clean bathrooms. An Italian dipping oil bar with high quality seasonings. And last but definitely not least, one of the literal, best, pizzas out there. You definitely want your own, there not that huge (and no one wants to share such a treasure). The crust is perfect, the cheese is fresh, and the sauce is true. Hands down amazing! Great job y'all. 🍕🇮🇹
Disappointed. Looks can be deceiving. I ordered a small meatball/alfredo pizza and it was perfect. The large meat lovers pizza was undercooked so the dough was impossible to eat. I can tell they probably use quality toppings but I couldn’t finish it. The crust was also a little burnt. Maybe they tried to cook it longer because of the toppings but I hate being disappointed in pizza especially when my hopes were so high based on the reviews.
10.16.2024: I visited this restaurant for the first time this past weekend. I appreciate that you can order from the table via a QR code. The pizza was cooked quickly and both pizzas had a unique and delicious flavor profile. The chef brought the pizza to the table and he checked on us at an appropriate time during our visit. The reason for the four stars is because we also got salads and the lettuce was not fresh. I had browning pieces scattered throughout. My husband had also ordered ranch dressing on his salad but it came out with balsamic. Very good size salads for a “half” salad and I appreciated the bread on the side.
Had been to the Fayette Mall location and were impressed. We were on a trip south on 75 and decided to try the Hamburg location. We were not disappointed. I feel like service here was friendlier than Fayette. They were friendly and helpful. Pizzas came out quickly. Got the Artichoke Dip and it was definitely presented in well and tasty too. The woodfired pizza was, of course, amazing. We will be back!!!!!
Some of the best pizza I've had. The crust specifically is incredible and this place is so awesome they have what you need to make an amazing olive oil / balsamic dip to use that crust on. I loved this place so much I discovered it on a Tuesday and came back on Thursday. It's that good. If I lived closer I'd be there at least once a week.
