Francesca was an absolute legend and godsend for wedding planning. She listens intently to your goals and challenges, and has a consultative, creative approach that is reassuring and timely. She is a true problem solver, highly detail-oriented, proactive, and exceptional at her job. Francesca was an astute professional when it came to working with our different styles, personalities, timezones, schedules, deadlines, and various ideas. She helped us focus on what matters most on wedding day, and put our minds at ease so that we could have the most magical day ever. Smitten Events was great to work with on a whole - their team is professional, timely, flexible, and adapted our contract to meet our needs. Would recommend!
Sarah and the Smitten team assisted us in the takeover coordination of our wedding and we couldn't be happier with the services provided. From thoughtful assistance in the planning process, including many helpful recommendations with vendors and logistics, to a really seamless day itself, Sarah and Kamilah made the process easy and painless so we and our families could really focus on the celebration. Sarah was thoughtful and attentive to our overall vision and approached our many last-minute changes with good humour and pragmatism, going above and beyond to ensure the day went off without a hitch. We could not have been happier!
I truly do not know if I can put into words how incredible our experience working with Smitten Events was. My husband and I are from Saskatchewan, and decided to get married in BC. As a wedding planner professionally having a destination wedding, I knew from the moment we got engaged that I needed to make sure we had support through the process, and that someone else was in charge on the day of. Smitten Events far exceeded my expectations! Francesca was our coordinator, and she is absolute magic in human form. Every single time I met with her I felt a million pounds lift off my shoulders and went from feeling stressed and anxious, to excited! Even with my years of planning experience, I still felt the emotions and stress that come with being a bride and Francesca kept me level headed, focused and calm through the entire experience. She handed details with vendors, helped me make decisions, created the most brilliant timeline, and went above and beyond in every way. She even created a pretend wedding certificate for my sister to sign at our rehearsal because she wasn't able to legally sign our actual marriage license on the day of. This was so special to me, and really demonstrated how much she cared for us as not just wedding clients, but people too! Our wedding day was everything we had ever dreamed of and more, largely thanks to Francesca! She took care of everything - set up, coordination, tear down, and did so with kindness, grace, and professionalism. She has a calmness to her that was so appreciated by everyone. My family and friends are still talking about how fantastic she was, and how our wedding was the best one they had ever been to! Truly, every single thing was perfect! Smitten Events gave my husband and I the priceless gift of a wedding day and planning experience we'll never forget. We were able to completely enjoy the best day of our lives with our family and friends without a care in the world, and are so so so grateful! It was the best investment we made for our wedding, and I wish we had hired them for full service planning because they are so incredible. When we first started searching for a wedding planner, we weren’t quite sure what to expect or where to begin. We spoke to a few different companies, but nothing felt like the right fit - until we spoke with Jenn at Smitten Events. From that very first conversation, it was an immediate no-brainer. She came across as professional, creative, fun, and enthusiastic, and choosing her was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Throughout the process, Jenn made everything as stress-free as possible. Beyond her incredible organization and attention to detail, she brought so much warmth and humor that the entire journey became genuinely fun. What stood out most was how invested she was - you could feel her excitement and genuine care every step of the way, which made us feel so supported and confident in the process. There were plenty of moments when I didn’t even fully understand my own vision - I was sending her endless Pinterest photos, making up colour names, and constantly second-guessing myself. Somehow, Jenn was able to piece it all together, understand my taste better than I did, and create a vision that turned out even more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. I cannot recommend Jenn + Smitten Events enough. Our wedding day was everything we hoped for and more, all thanks to Jenn.
We're *so darn* grateful for Jordan + Devon at Smitten Events, for not only your timeline spreadsheets and checklists, but for allowing us to really enjoy our wedding and all of its moments. Once you start getting your hair and makeup done, you truly realize how important that is to have them take the reins day-of. You can be as organized as can be, but that day feels like a thousand moments and decisions are happening all at once, so having those two brought so much relief. Honestly, I was fairly stress-free and got to truly embrace that day, knowing it has to do with choosing incredible vendors who know what they're doing. Thank you! M+D
