Went to afters here. Plenty of free parking closeby. The back room gets insanely hot like a sauna when its packed with people. The larger front room with the bar n vendors is the perfect temp. No food for sale that I saw. Bring a pashmina, not a jacket, even if its super cold out.
This is a great place for rehearsal sessions friendly entertainment , cool Room with awesome tech bluetooth connectivity , Wifi, and they even had equipment for me to rent that i could not bring. thankfully they had concessions . One of the Greatest places i love to jam & get work Done
I’ve been rehearsing at Soundbite Studios for many years and have always appreciated having a dedicated space for musicians. They offer decent, spacious rooms, a bathroom, and even a little table for lounging, which is a nice touch. That said, I do think they could improve the lounging area to make it more comfortable and inviting for bands that spend hours rehearsing. However, my experience last night was very concerning. I understand that rehearsal studios often come with a certain smell, but this time it was overwhelming. There was a strong odor of “herbs” mixed with a damp, musty smell, the kind of moisture-heavy scent that usually signals mold. For those of us with asthma, that’s not just uncomfortable. It’s dangerous. I overheard someone mention there may have been a broken pipe recently. I might be wrong, but if that’s the case, the space should have been shut down and fully cleaned and repaired. Paying customers shouldn’t be exposed to unhealthy air or potential mold contamination. I woke up with chest pain, coughing, and felt like I’d been hit by a train. My car, clothes, and instrument bags all absorbed the smell. While I can clean those things, the impact on my health is another story. I really hope management takes this seriously. The place has potential and serves a real need for musicians, but safety and air quality should be a top priority.
Incorrect hours, drove from far out to rent equipment and no one was there. Waste of time. Not Spam, this is my throw away account. I had arranged an early visit (5pm) with the guy with long hair in the front desk, showed up at the arranged time, doors were closed.
It's not a bad rehearsal studio, but from the small parking area behind the building, we had to cart our gear down the sidewalk to the corner of Jefferson & Hill St. where the entrance is. Why not put a door in the side of the building where the parking is? I can see the small parking area filling up fast when there are multiple bands rehearsing. We were the only one that afternoon. Maybe 10 parking spots. The well-worn Marshall half stack in the Sand Room had terribly scratchy pots and quit altogether. The manager did provide another amp, Fender Deville.
