I reached out to Kalpesh around this time last year when the future of our business was a big question mark. After 8+ years in construction, my husband and I were feeling burned out and at a crossroads. We were considering the possibility of retiring early and/or selling – but also had no idea what to do next. I knew that my husband wouldn’t feel comfortable opening up to any run-of-the-mill consultant; but I had a good feeling about Kalpesh after I saw an online interview that he had given (to the Natomas Chamber of Commerce, if memory serves). Fast forward to now: We met with Kalpesh nine or ten times in the last year. Not only was he warm, personable, and highly emotionally intelligent, he was also strategic and data-driven in his approach. He led us through a series of exercises that helped us to identify what we really wanted for ourselves over the next five years and how to move deliberately in that direction. I should add that he was also able to skillfully navigate back and forth between the roles of methodical business coach and impartial couples' counselor. 😉 Thanks to Kalpesh’s guidance and support, my husband and I now see a clear path forward, remaining in business, but with the deeper understanding that bigger is not necessarily better, and that we are free to create a professional life that aligns with our personal priorities.
