I came here about two years ago with my 1 year old dog. Keep in mind, he was still in the processing of trying to get use to getting groomed. Since this was his only second time going to a Grooming place, I let the older guy know in advance that he does have anxiety with taking a bath, and tries to run, but he is not aggressive, and has no bite history because due to his size a lot of people make assumptions. ( Over the phone before I came in with my dog.. my dog was a 3xl at 1 ) The older employee said it was fine to bring him in so I did, but when he saw my dog, he looked kinda uneasy about him. I got a call to pick up my dog, and came back hours later just to see that, my dog is completely wet n smells HORRID. It was a mess n disgusting coming in there n I was upset because my dog is shaking tremendously n tugging to get near me. I had to pay full price, regardless of not getting the services that I paid for when I could’ve just been told in advance that they could not do it. I went back-and-forth with the worker, and eventually just left. This was in the middle of WINTER. My dog is double coated, but he was completely soaked not even blow dried… It was horrible getting into an Uber with my wet dog crying next to me. If you had a good experience with them, I’m glad! If you didn’t, I understand you completely. Disgusting🤦🏻♀️
Milo is my baby mini Cavapoo and has white curly thick coat. Spot's Spot takes care of him every time and my favorite stylist is Dan, I love how much care he takes with Milo and I see the dramatic difference in Milo's appearance every time. Milo's coat is White and tends to get yellowy and dingy also experience's metabolic tears in his eyes. Dan play the very well and cuts Milo's face with a poodle face and crafts it into a nice low-cut without cutting too short and keeps his fantail long. I recommend this cut for those with any poodle type breed. Also a reasonable price and Milo is a happy customer and so am I.
We are so fortunate to have found Spot’s Spot. We bring both of our wheatens there, and they’ve gotten great haircuts each time. They always come home happy and relaxed. Our youngest boy Tex is quite difficult behavior wise, and Phillip and his team are so incredibly kind, compassionate, and patient with him. We will never go anywhere else as long as we live in Philadelphia.
Phil was very kind but I do not recommend this place for a cat nail trim. There are many animals running around which immediately stressed my cat out and we couldn’t complete the service. The cost for a walk in trim is also the highest I’ve seen in the area. Lots of smells from the animals as well. If your cat likes other cats and dogs then it would be fine. Maybe it’s better for dogs? The owner was very nice but it’s not for us.
Friend of mine recommended this place to me and I liked the end result after they groomed my dog. My only complain is that one of the employee didn’t wear a mask at all. It isn’t a big deal for me since I have finished my covid vaccination. Again, just a little nitpick on my end. Their price is very reasonable and their work is pretty good, will recommend this place to others.
