A big fan of their wine and they must go when in the area. They have great big and bold reds. Tasting room is nice and they do offer multiple offerings. We had the Brut, which they typically do not make, and it was pretty good. If they have a limited tasting, be sure to talk about the flavors that you do enjoy more and they typically will offer something additional or offer to replace one of the tastings in the set menu for something that fits your preference. Restrooms are limited, so be aware of busier times.
Great experience with Wine educator Phillip! Cordial and respectful as he explained varietals, history and wine making trends. Would highly recommend! Beautiful grounds and welcoming atmosphere!
We visited St. Francis Winery in early September and were absolutely blown away by the atmosphere, service, and overall experience. My partner and I attended their wine and food pairing, and we both agreed it was truly one of the best meals of our lives. Every course was fresh, delicious, and so thoughtfully crafted to complement the wines— you could really taste the care and creativity that went into it. The setting was just as special. We were seated at our own table alongside about fifteen others in a beautiful dining room, which created this lovely balance of community and intimacy. It was fun hearing other guests’ stories while still enjoying a private, relaxed experience together. Many of the people around us were longtime members and spoke so highly of St. Francis — several even said it was their favorite winery after visiting countless others. Everything from start to finish felt exceptional — warm hospitality, stunning wines, and an atmosphere that made us feel genuinely welcomed. I haven’t stopped thinking about this place since we left. St. Francis Winery is an absolute must-visit!!!
Incredible winery! It’s so peaceful, has beautiful scenery, some of the best wine in Sonoma, and our wine educator, Sherri, was fantastic! Seriously, she was a true wine connoisseur and loved sharing her passion with her guests. St. Francis Winery is a true 10/10 experience. If you’re going to Sonoma go to St. Francis Winery, it is truly the best in the region!
St. Francis Winery – Summer Wine & Food Pairing - The best! While visiting Sonoma this summer, we had the pleasure of experiencing the seasonal wine & food pairing at St. Francis Winery, crafted by Executive Chef Peter Janiak. The vineyard is absolutely gorgeous, and the menu highlighted fresh seasonal ingredients paired perfectly with their award-winning wines. From the rosé with heirloom tomato gazpacho, to the Pinot Noir with duck confit, and the Zinfandel with smoked pork loin, every bite and sip felt like a celebration of Sonoma’s summer flavors. We finished with the Port and warm bittersweet chocolate cake – the perfect ending. Truly an elevated tasting experience that combines fine dining with the beauty of wine country. Highly recommend if you’re in Sonoma!
