St. Pete Dance is a great place to learn how to dance. The private lessons I have taken with Michael have been excellent. My passion for dancing has been re lit and I'm having such a good time learning new dances and steps. The group lessons are a lot of fun and the people are really fun to be around. Michael and Denise have exceptional skills for helping you be your best on the dance floor, whether you have never danced or have experience. Join the fun and come dance with us!

Talented and wonderful staff! Prepared my fiance and I for our wedding dance and it went great. My husband knew nothing about dance before, and now he is actually entering competitions and doing well! I have been dancing for some time, yet I find the teaching so personal and wonderful that my dancing is improving greatly. They are flexible with scheduling too. And they make it FUN! Group lessons and group parties add to the fun and camaraderie. So if you are looking for a place to learn or improve your ballroom dancing, this is it!

We discovered St Pete dance one night after eating at the neighboring restaurant. We were looking for a local dance studio closer to our home and it was fate! Denise was welcoming , not high pressure sales and invited us to come for a set of trial lessons. From the first lesson we instantly tell the vast amount of experience she had working with couples. We have taken lessons at other dance studios and she made us feel very comfortable. For any private dance lesson package you purchase, you get access to group lessons that are scheduled throughout the month. They have all types of dances available which makes it fun to go to a monthly dance party to try new types. The group lessons are mostly taught by the owner, Michael, who makes the lessons fun and easy to understand. Denise is light hearted, funny and has been a joy to work with as we learn our wedding dance. We are happy to get to continue lessons even after the wedding. We would recommend this small town feel dance studio to anyone in St Pete, regardless of your dance level!

Michael is an excellent teacher. He teaches without overloading with details, emphasizing the basic steps first and gradually refining technique with little tips. We wanted to learn swing dancing and after just one lesson we had the basics. But he made the lessons so fun and relaxed that we decided to book more lessons. We don't want to be professional or competition dancers, we just want to have fun and look good doing it. Michael gets that and teaches us with that in mind. Update: we're still taking lessons a couple times a month and we're having a lot of fun doing it.

My now husband and I, and my dad and I took lessons from Michael at St. Pete Dance for our wedding and we had a BLAST! He choreographed our first dance and my father daughter dance! It became a fun date night activity for me and my fiance in the weeks leading up to the wedding that can otherwise be quite chaotic, but this was like our retreat! For my dad and I it was such a wonderful bonding experience I will always remember doing. It gave all of us the confidence we needed at the wedding when all eyes were on us. I attached some photos of the moves we did in my dance with my dad - it was a hit! We didn't feel like any dance was over done and still felt like us, but if we wanted to add more dramatic or technical stuff that Michael would've gotten us up to speed! I cannot recommend him and his company enough!
