Our puppy Earl just graduated from puppy foundations. We loved Rachel as an instructor. She was very helpful to all of the new parents with different dogs! She gave one on one attention and also ideas on how to handle individual issues with our dogs. He also attends puppy daycare and has learned even more commands. I highly recommend her and all of the trainers.

We were referred to St. Pete Dog Works, and specifically to Rachel, after working with Dr. Edwards at Tampa Veterinary Behavior, and we had a great experience. I have two dogs and came in with very specific goals, and Rachel was incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful in her approach. From the initial consultation through each session, Rachel consistently impressed me with her ability to observe and accurately interpret my dogs’ behaviors. After every session, she provided a clear summary and practical “homework,” which helped me stay accountable and continue making progress at home. The training was fully customized to our needs and lifestyle, and after six sessions we’ve seen meaningful progress. I would highly recommend Rachel and St. Pete Dog Works.

I took my dog to St. Pete Dog Works for training and had an amazing experience. Alison led our one-on-one sessions,and Debbie taught our adolescent obedience group class. I am so grateful for both of them , they really understand dog behavior. My biggest goal was for my dog to come when called, and now she does…and so much more. I feel so much more confident in my ability to help Lucy grow i to a well mannered, well behaved dog. The training we received was excellent. Thank you Alison and Debbie.

I was doing a search for local dog trainers for my 6 month old schnauzer puppy and came upon St Pete Dog Works. I loved their training philosophy using positive reinforcement and really helping you build a relationship with your dog based on foundational skills and trust. I feel truly blessed that we got Debbie Welsh as our trainer. It took minutes for me to know that she was going to be effective with my sometimes stubborn but really wanting to please little guy. The very first day of training he was learning and enjoying it! There was no fear, no yelling, no choke collars. Just positive reinforcement and direction. Debbie is very experienced and very passionate about dogs and the importance of training them. In addition to how effective she is with the puppy, Debbie explained things so well to me and I felt really capable of practicing what she taught us in between our sessions. I've worked with trainers for other dogs and after sessions I've felt a little lost & overwhelmed. Not this time. Not only does Debbie explain things well but she follows up with emails and videos that reinforce what you learned in session. She's kind and compassionate and recognizes that we all have life situations that can impact our ability to be consistent with our training. She works around that and offers solutions that are realistic. I could not recommend St. Pete Dog Works, and specifically Debbie, more!

I’ve been bringing my puppy, Vicente, to the puppy class at St. Pete Dog Works, and it’s been such a wonderful experience. The training has been incredibly useful. Not only have I learned techniques to help with my puppy’s personality, but also how to handle situations as an owner. Heather is amazing! She’s patient, kind, and makes sure everyone in the class gets equal attention, which I really appreciate. Vicente absolutely loves going to class. He gets so excited the moment he sees the building! You can tell he feels comfortable and happy there, and that says everything about the environment Heather creates. Vicente is on his way to becoming a service dog, and thanks to Heather and St. Pete Dog Works, we’re getting closer and closer to that goal every day. I couldn’t recommend them more!
