My wife took me here for my bday. It was my 1st time. We ordered the crispy shrimp as an appetizer. She had the crab cakes while I had to 12 oz ny strip w. Creamy potatoes. It was delicious the steak came out sizzling and it was cooked to perfection... and very tender. Only issue was the Mac and cheese was nasty. I sent it back. The waiters very very attentive and polite. Since it was my bday they bought out a wonderful dessert w. A candle in it. I would definitely come back.

I’m writing this review due to a serious food safety issue from our visit on November 13th at 9 PM. We were a table of two and ordered the seared scallop & caviar, two NY strip steaks (medium rare), a mushroom side dish, one glass of wine, and one cocktail. A few hours after the meal, my friend became violently sick with vomiting, chills, and diarrhea. About 24 hours later, I experienced the exact same symptoms. We hadn’t eaten anything else together before or after this dinner, so the timing is extremely concerning. We also called the restaurant to report the incident and someone followed up once, but afterward no one responded or addressed the issue further. This experience was alarming and disappointing, and I hope management conducts a proper investigation to prevent this from happening to others.

Super expensive! Now that that's out of the way lol the experience was worth it. We had a table with a view into the kitchen which was wonderful, and they put us there themselves without our asking. The servers were great, explaining the food options and making suggestions. I will admit we did feel rushed towards the end by a busboy who kept twirling an empty water bottle but not clearing anything but that was a minor blip in the evening. The food was delicious though my steak could have used more seasoning it was cooked perfectly. The cocktail shrimp was juicy and huge (maybe not worth $12 a piece though) con there were shells in the seafood pasta just a few but very noticeable in the crab. Lamb meatballs were delicious. I could forego the hanging bacon next time lol. All in all we had an excellent time!

We had a reservation. It did take a little while for them to acknowledge us at the hostess stand. It was a Saturday night and it was chaotic. Other than that everything was wonderful. We were celebrating an anniversary and they really made a big deal about it. We turned down desert because we were so full but they brought us a dessert on the house acknowledging the anniversary. Phenomenal service and food. We will be back.

Steak 48 Philadelphia really hit the mark with quality, taste, and atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic steakhouse experience in Philly. The steak was incredibly juicy, cooked to perfection, and seasoned just right. Its texture and flavor were simply top-notch. The roasted brussels sprouts were a great match for the meal, boasting a deep, rich taste. The cocktail was well-balanced, which definitely enhanced the whole dinner vibe. Plus, everything looked amazing, from the food to the drinks.
