I came in after stressing about my hair for months. I’ve been dealing with thinning and patches of sparse regrowth, so choosing the right stylist was important to me. I booked my first appointment with Steve for a consultation, cut, and style, specifically because of his expertise with thinning hair. From the start, he treated and addressed my concerns with real care. The reference cut I brought in was simple, but given my hair’s lack of density, I honestly tried not to get my hopes up. Steve completely exceeded them. With a precise cut & a single styling product he introduced me to (Amika Rising Star), he completely transformed the structure of my hair. I genuinely haven’t seen this level of volume and fullness in a long time, it looks balanced, natural, and the styling to maintain is very simple. Beyond the result, Steve himself is wonderful. He’s personable, grounded, and has a sweet energy. I felt genuinely cared for and taken care of as a client. His work is efficient but not rushed, every trim seemed intentional. It was honestly one of the quickest haircuts I’ve ever had, and also one of the very few where I loved the final result at first glance. He recognized my hair, my concerns, and exactly what I was hoping for, even when I had already accepted that my hair probably wasn’t going to cooperate. If you want a stylist who truly understands how to work with what you have, I highly recommend Steve. He understood the assignment and absolutely delivered.
I feel like I had the best cut I have had in a while. Steve understands my hair goals and did not over texturize or cut too much! He did a great reshaping my hair. I’m happy with the results! . I have been going to Steve over 25 years. He is the ultimate professional. Recently I needed his expertise in hair growth provided at the salon. The teamwork I received from Steve and his assistant Keagan was amazing. With the products recommended for hair growth and the precision cut I receive each visit, my hair is on its way back! And the color, as always, is perfect. It's true, "Only your hairdresser knows!"
Luna did an amazing job with my haircut! I came in asking for a big change - to chop off at least 10 inches to donate and to give me a lob. Luna took the time to understand some key components of my lifestyle and preferences in order to personalize it. As an active person, we chose to limit the texturing to make sure it could still go up in a ponytail easily. She also gave me a chance to ask for any modifications and adjustments. She was kind and gave tips for styling at home as well. I will be going back to Luna for my next cut!
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Steve Hightower Hair Salon and Spa! First of all, Steve is an absolute sweetheart and made me feel like a part of the family. My hair stylist Luna is AMAZING! I had a hair service from another salon that was completely botched which you can see in the first picture. It was very uneven and the color was way too orange. Luna was able fixed it beautifully (second picture) and gave me advice on how to maintain the health of my hair until my next appointment 6 weeks later. The second time I came to see Luna, she got my hair color exactly where I wanted it to be! You can see in the third picture how drastic the change was! I went from splotchy, brassy orange to a beautiful platinum blonde. Luna is so wonderfully talented and an all around amazing person! Thank you so much to Luna and Steve for making my hair beautiful again!
