We had a beautiful wedding day at Stillwell House, and many of our guests commented on how lovely the venue and atmosphere were, and how tasty the food was. On the wedding day however, there were a few coordination issues that caused unnecessary stress. We bought items that weren't used by the venue - like the apple cider for the kids at dinner, the memorial table candles not being lit, and lighters for the sparklers not being used. We were also told that they would be the contact for the vendors on the day of, that we wouldn't have to worry about it. On the wedding day however, the cake was missing - they didn't help reach out to the vendor, in fact didn't seem to care it was missing - and my mom had to call the bakery, which added to the stress of the day. Part of why we chose this venue was because the flexibility of having the ceremony/reception inside or outside, just in case it rains, but they weren't very flexible the day of when it was raining. One person told me we could decide (ceremony inside or outside) the day of and the other said they would've needed advance notice - which caused a lot of stress the day of. While these issues didn’t take away from the joy of the day, clearer communication and execution between staff would have made the experience more seamless. Overall, a gorgeous venue with strong planning support, but some day-of coordination improvements are needed.
Reviewing as a Tucson wedding photographer, Stillwell House remains one of the most gorgeous wedding venues in Tucson. The lush garden vibe and nighttime ambience are unbeatable. The venue itself has endless backdrops for photos, and the location makes it easy to go for a walk to shoot photos among the murals, storefronts, and sidewalks of downtown Tucson. Love this venue, can't wait for my next wedding there!
What an amazing place. Not only is the location perfect in downtown, but the staff and the food are incredible. I was married at the Stillwell House on New Year’s Eve and 3 weeks earlier had my company holiday party there as well. No one comes close to the food quality or selection than Candace and staff. Both clients and wedding guests were blown away at the attention to detail, service, food, ambience, and location. Candace provided valet for both events so parking was a non issue. It is hands down the best place to have an event in Tucson. I highly recommend Stillwell House for anything whether it be your wedding, party, or client events. They knock it out of the park!
My review won't be as wordy as the others but I mirror their thoughts! An amazing venue nestled in a convenient location. Great photo opportunities and fabulous staff. Now, lets talk about the FOOD! It was a Brunch Wedding. Fabulous all the way around. I was lucky enough to be found by the couple to be their photographer! I hope to be back again!
Beautiful space and friendly workers. Valet parking, beautiful bar area, courtyard, and dining area. Love the detail work on the building and the beautiful decorative pieces. Their waitstaff was wonderful and menu flavorful. I had a vegan meal- they were great at catering to my dietary needs, along with others that were gluten free, and vegetarian. Wonderful spot for a wedding or any other celebration.
