We have had an excellent Spanish learning experience with the employees of our company thanks to Professor Natalia. She is highly professional, patient, and very clear in her explanations, which makes learning effective and enjoyable for everyone. Without a doubt, we will continue our Spanish training with her in the future. We highly recommend her as a Spanish teacher for companies and professionals.
I first started Spanish classes with Karen during Covid and so when I was looking for Mandarin tutors, I was happy to connect through Strommen to meet with Linna for 1 hour private zoom classes weekly. Linna is upbeat, adaptable, and makes any topic fun and interesting to learn about. It's been a very enriching experience to dive in for the past 8 months and feel more educated in my own culture and first language (which sadly has fallen away in my adult years). I look forward to travelling to Asia to test out my skills in the real world. Thank you Linna! Highly recommend group or private classes via zoom...both have worked out well for me.
I can't speak to any other Strommen classes, but I have been taking in-person group Spanish classes with Fernando for almost a year now starting from the most beginner level and it's been great! The class progresses at a very balanced pace. I feel like I am always learning something new and progressing even with a busy schedule. Plus, I have fun every week chatting with Fernando and my classmates and improving my Spanish! Booking on the Strommen website is easy and they offer early bird prices as well. I plan on continuing and can't wait to get fluent!
I started taking Spanish classes with Fernando over two years ago, and it quickly became one of the best parts of my week. He is an exceptional teacher. I studied Spanish in college but hadn't used it for over a decade, and I've improved greatly since taking his classes. About a year ago, I went to Mexico with friends who were all amazed that I was able to help us navigate various scenarios through the language skills I've picked up from Fernando's classes. Fernando has tons of experience as a Spanish teacher and has a clear and understandable way of explaining even the most difficult concepts. The homework is always reasonable and on point, helping to cement comprehension of lessons reviewed in class. Most importantly, Fernando is funny and always makes class engaging and fun. The subjunctive tense, to me, is a very dry topic and can be incredibly painful to learn. However, Fernando makes even the subjunctive approachable. What's more, Fernando's students seem to stick with him (like me) for years, and I have met wonderful people in his group classes. I highly recommend signing up for Fernando's classes!
Fernando is the best language teacher I've ever had. I've been in his Spanish classes consistently for a few years now, and my Spanish-speaking friends are always amazed at how rapidly I've advanced. When I started, I could barely put together a full sentence. Now I'm having phone calls with my Colombian in-laws that meander from topic to topic. I can watch TV, listen to podcasts, and read news in Spanish and understand 80-100%. So I consider these classes to be one of the best investments I've made. Teaching a language is very difficult, but Fernando knows exactly what he's doing and has his pedagogy down perfectly. One thing I've noticed is that all of the students who've stuck with Fernando over the past few years are very advanced if not more or less fluent by now. That is quite an accomplishment for a class that meets only once a week for about an hour. The best part is that you will look forward to his classes because they're so much fun-- I always get a text from my partner who's in the other room asking, "what are you guys laughing about now?" :) Take Fernando!
