I was racially profiled today. I am an African American woman coming to a white business and I will say the only person who’s really nice is Andrea, other waxers see me and don’t even speak like they’re scared or something but I had my appointment today and I tried to ask the receptionist about cancelling my membership however she was very rude, letting me know she couldn’t cancel my membership so I asked if I could speak with a manager and instead of simply saying a manager wasn’t there at the moment she said they’re going to tell you the same thing. I’ve been coming here for about a year, I’ve referred several people to this location as well as other locations, I’ve purchased products, I tip and today I did not feel like a member which is something I pay for every month. I thought my appointment was at 11:30 because they had to reschedule it but it was at 11:15 I had been in my car in front of the shop since 11:18 I walked in at 11:23 she rudely let me know I was late and there was nothing that she could do and I couldn’t be seen until. 12:30 I explained the mix up with the time and she simply did not care luckily someone called and she told them so I was able to be seen before 12. I live about 45 minute’s away from this location and I still come all the way here. Usually I’m offered water or wine at my appointments she didn’t offer either. Andrea was still very helpful but the receptionist made this visit horrible for me. She wasn’t at the desk after my appointment was done so I couldn’t tip if I wanted to. I will not be returning back to the village location
It was my first time getting sugar waxed and my experience was very pleasant! Everything was clean and the decor is so cute, not to mention everyone is super freindly. I felt like I was in good hands with Celeste! She talked with me throughout my entire appointment and was super quick.
I always have an excellent experience at Sugar Cove in general, but this location is particularly fun because of the shopping center it is in. Sugar Cove staff are always friendly and professional. I appreciate the hospitality and safety/hygiene precautions they take. Then, after my appointment, I can go get tea or coffee from a nearby cafe. I've never had an issue with parking, but I'm sure it gets busy during certain parts of the day.
I found Sugar Cove through Groupon when I was researching sugaring. I started off getting waxed originally at another salon and I noticed every time I would get waxed I was always red and would breakout afterward. I naturally have thick hair, sensitive skin, and am prone to ingrown hairs. Starting sugaring has been life changing! I absolutely love Sugar Cove because the service is always amazing, they are so gentle, and they always make me feel welcomed. The salon is so cute and all the Sugar mommas are excellent! I have been coming here for a few months now and the customer service is spot on. I always encourage everyone I know to come here now. If you’re on the fence about trying this place just do it, their prices are great in my opinion for the amount of satisfaction I have received!
This was my first time here, came with my aunt and Chelsea and Monique were great! I had Chelsea and she was great! She made me feel really comfortable and we talked the whole time. She was very informative. The only reason I'm giving a 4 is because the receptionist wasn't very friendly after the services were done. I noticed it when a guest prior to me left and checked out and then when me and my aunt checked out. Other than that great experience would come again.
